Waheguru ji ka Khalsa, Waheguru ji ki Fateh!

Yes, it is said so in the literature. Sikh Panth refers to the entire society, community, fellowship or religious body of Sikhs all around the world.

But the Sikh Panth is required to take all its decisions, by applying the touchstone of Guru Granth Sahib i.e. Gurbani. If any decisions are taken by the Sikh Panth but the same are later found to be lacking on application of the said cardinal principle, then the same need to be revised.

The undersigned is quoting three stanzas of Shabads of Guru Granth Sahib in which the Guru is guiding us that all human beings are imperfect and only Akalpurakh and Shabad Guru, who are embodiment of each other, are perfect.

Therefore, there is every possibility that the decisions taken by the Sikh Panth are not perfect, when tested by applying the touchstone of Shabad Guru. Such decisions will need to be revised/replaced.

ਭੁਲਣ ਅੰਦਰਿ ਸਭੁ ਕੋ ਅਭੁਲੁ ਗੁਰੂ ਕਰਤਾਰੁ ॥ ਗੁਰਮਤਿ ਮਨੁ ਸਮਝਾਇਆ ਲਾਗਾ ਤਿਸੈ ਪਿਆਰੁ ॥ ਨਾਨਕ ਸਾਚੁ ਨ ਵੀਸਰੈ ਮੇਲੇ ਸਬਦੁ ਅਪਾਰੁ ॥੮॥੧੨॥ {ਪੰਨਾ 60-61}

ਅਰਥ: (ਹੇ ਬਾਬਾ! ਮਾਇਆ ਐਸੀ ਪ੍ਰਬਲ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਇਸ ਦੇ ਢਹੇ ਚੜ੍ਹ ਕੇ) ਹਰੇਕ ਜੀਵ ਗ਼ਲਤੀ ਖਾ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਗੁਰੂ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਕਰਤਾਰ ਹੈ ਜੋ (ਨਾਹ ਮਾਇਆ ਦੇ ਅਸਰ ਹੇਠ ਆਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਤੇ) ਨਾਹ ਗ਼ਲਤੀ ਖਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਜਿਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਮਤਿ ਉੱਤੇ ਤੁਰ ਕੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਮਨ ਨੂੰ ਸਮਝ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ, ਉਸਦੇ ਅੰਦਰ (ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ) ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਬਣ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਜਿਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੂੰ ਗੁਰੂ ਦਾ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਅਪਾਰ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਮਿਲਾ ਦੇਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਉਹ ਸਦਾ-ਥਿਰ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਕਦੇ ਭੁੱਲਦਾ ਨਹੀਂ।8।12।

ਪਉੜੀ ॥ ਤੂ ਕਰਤਾ ਆਪਿ ਅਭੁਲੁ ਹੈ ਭੁਲਣ ਵਿਚਿ ਨਾਹੀ ॥ ਤੂ ਕਰਹਿ ਸੁ ਸਚੇ ਭਲਾ ਹੈ ਗੁਰ ਸਬਦਿ ਬੁਝਾਹੀ ॥ ਤੂ ਕਰਣ ਕਾਰਣ ਸਮਰਥੁ ਹੈ ਦੂਜਾ ਕੋ ਨਾਹੀ ॥ ਤੂ ਸਾਹਿਬੁ ਅਗਮੁ ਦਇਆਲੁ ਹੈ ਸਭਿ ਤੁਧੁ ਧਿਆਹੀ ॥ ਸਭਿ ਜੀਅ ਤੇਰੇ ਤੂ ਸਭਸ ਦਾ ਤੂ ਸਭ ਛਡਾਹੀ ॥੪॥ {ਪੰਨਾ 301}

ਅਰਥ: ਹੇ (ਸ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਟੀ ਦੇ) ਰਚਨਹਾਰ! ਤੂੰ ਆਪ ਅਭੁੱਲ ਹੈਂ, ਭੁੱਲਣ ਵਿਚ ਨਹੀਂ ਆਉਂਦਾ। ਹੇ ਸੱਚੇ! ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਤੂੰ ਇਹ ਸਮਝਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈਂ ਕਿ ਜੋ ਤੂੰ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈਂ ਸੋ ਚੰਗਾ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈਂ। ਹੇ ਹਰੀ! ਤੇਰਾ ਕੋਈ ਸ਼ਰੀਕ ਨਹੀਂ ਤੇ ਸ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਟੀ ਦੇ ਇਸ ਸਾਰੇ ਪਰਪੰਚ ਦਾ ਮੂਲ ਤੂੰ ਆਪੇ ਹੀ ਹੈਂ ਤੇ ਸਮਰੱਥਾ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈਂ। ਤੂੰ ਦਇਆ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਮਾਲਕ ਹੈਂ (ਪਰ) ਤੇਰੇ ਤਾਈਂ ਪਹੁੰਚ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋ ਸਕਦੀ; ਸਭ ਜੀਵ ਜੰਤ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਸਿਮਰਦੇ ਹਨ। ਸਭ ਜੀਵ ਤੇਰੇ (ਰਚੇ ਹੋਏ) ਹਨ, ਤੂੰ ਸਭਨਾਂ ਦਾ (ਮਾਲਕ) ਹੈਂ, ਤੂੰ ਸਾਰਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ (ਦੁੱਖਾਂ ਤੇ ਝੋਰਿਆਂ ਤੋਂ) ਆਪ ਛਡਾਂਦਾ ਹੈਂ।4।

ਭੁਲਣ ਵਿਚਿ ਕੀਆ ਸਭੁ ਕੋਈ ਕਰਤਾ ਆਪਿ ਨ ਭੁਲੈ ॥ ਨਾਨਕ ਸਚਿ ਨਾਮਿ ਨਿਸਤਾਰਾ ਕੋ ਗੁਰ ਪਰਸਾਦਿ ਅਘੁਲੈ ॥੮॥੪॥ {ਪੰਨਾ 1344}

ਅਰਥ: ਕਰਤਾਰ ਆਪ ਕਦੇ ਗ਼ਲਤੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਖਾਂਦਾ ਪਰ ਹਰੇਕ ਜੀਵ ਜੋ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਪੈਦਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ ਭੁੱਲਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਫਸਦਾ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਸਦਾ-ਥਿਰ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਵਿਚ ਜੁੜਿਆਂ ਇਹਨਾਂ ਭੁੱਲਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਬਚ ਸਕੀਦਾ ਹੈ। ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਨਾਲ ਹੀ ਕੋਈ ਵਿਰਲਾ ਜੀਵ ਕੁਰਾਹੇ ਪੈਣ ਤੋਂ ਬਚਦਾ ਹੈ।8।4।
