Bairaage in other religions are those who detach themselves from the family or world.
However Gurmat does not accept the concept of leaving the family.
Those who are attuned to Truth, remain balanced, control their ego and are united with Akal Purkh all the time.
The mind becomes detached and free of desire, when it experiences the Fear of Akal Purkh with the Shabad Guru.
Bairag means the feeling of sadness / pain of separation.
Bairaag is when we miss something in life and we feel void. When we listen to Gurbani tears come out of our eyes. There is some connection that is deep-rooted and Gurbani reminds us of that relationship. This relationship is the journey of our soul.
