Respected Brother/Sister,
Waheguru ji ka Khalsa, Waheguru ji ki Fateh!
In response to your question the undersigned wants to say that in the Adi Granth compiled by Fifth Guru person Guru Arjan Sahib, the Bani of first five Guru Persons, Bhagats and others was included. In the Damdami Bir compiled later, which is our ever living Guru, the Bani of ninth Guru Person was included.
The question, as to why the other Guru Persons decided not to pronounce any Bani, perhaps, no one can answer. At Panna 60-61 of Guru Granth Sahib, the Guru teaches us ‘ਭੁਲਣ ਅੰਦਰਿ ਸਭੁ ਕੋ ਅਭੁਲੁ ਗੁਰੂ ਕਰਤਾਰੁ means ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਗੁਰੂ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਕਰਤਾਰ ਹੈ ਜੋ (ਨਾਹ ਮਾਇਆ ਦੇ ਅਸਰ ਹੇਠ ਆਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਤੇ) ਨਾਹ ਗ਼ਲਤੀ ਖਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।’ So, we should accept it as Akalpurakh’s Hukam. In any case, for us, Guru Granth Sahib is the Jot of all the Guru persons. If you have any further questions please do ask.
Regards,
Your Brother
