Respected Bani Kaur ji
Samaadh / Samaadhi in Dhan Guru Granth Sahib Ji is mentioned in the following way.
1) Pretend to do Smadhi, which is called Bagule Di Samadhi.
Meaning that meditating is the Karam Kaand of the Jogis. That is why it is explained that Jogis do Smadhi to subdue the mind but they are not aware of the light / jyot of Parmaatma residing inside them.
2) For concentration of mind
Meaning that by the grace of Guru the human being who walks according to the Hukam made by Akal Purakh, always lives in spiritual bliss, ie lives in the state of Atmik Adol Samadhi.
So in fact Smadhi is the only time when we live our life according to the Hukam of Gurbani, our inner mind is always in a state of stillness.
