What is the name of god, is it only waheguru or ek onkar, is god ajuni, can an avatar be god, so can hindu god Krishna be god, sggs makes reference to allah in some places so is allah also one of Sikh gods name, sggs also keeps saying guru all the time so is that a physical guru or god and lastly why do Sikhs convert to Christianity or other religions when the concept of god in Sikhism is so correct?

2. “Sikhism” stands for:-

(i) Oneness of Humanity;

(iii) No empty rituals & worthless religious practices;

(iv) No life after death theories. Rather, it stands for spiritual salvation/emancipation, during the life time, on getting rid of vices.

2. Further, Sikhism:-

(i) teaches a Sikh to live his life in the present, as per Hukam of Akalpurakh and teachings of ever living Guru, Sri Guru Granth Sahib;

(ii) expects a Sikh to earn an honest living, remain connected with Akalpurakh all the time and share his honest earning with poor and needy;

(iii) expects a Sikh to be compassionate, kind, tolerant and is to love all i e. he is to reach the mental state of seeing Akalpurakh in everyone and hence having friends only and no enemies;

(iv) expects a Sikh to serve the humanity, without any distinction of caste, creed and religion.

In response to your question, the undersigned wants to say that Akalpurakh sitting inside us, as what we call soul, gives strength to our body and it functions. As soon as He withdraws the strength, physical death takes place. The five elements of which the body is made of merge with the earth and the soul merges with Akalpurakh. What happens after that no body knows.

Further, Gurbani totally rejects both heaven and hell. This is what Bhagat Kabir ji is teaching us at Panna 969 of Guru Granth Sahib:-

ਕਵਨੁ ਨਰਕੁ ਕਿਆ ਸੁਰਗੁ ਬਿਚਾਰਾ ਸੰਤਨ ਦੋਊ ਰਾਦੇ ॥ ਹਮ ਕਾਹੂ ਕੀ ਕਾਣਿ ਨ ਕਢਤੇ ਅਪਨੇ ਗੁਰ ਪਰਸਾਦੇ ॥੫॥ (ਪੰਨਾ 969)

Any person, who has come to this world, has two choices. One to follow the route shown by inner voice i.e. Akalpurakh, sitting inside a person and become a Righteous person (ਸਚਿਆਰ ਮਨੁੱਖ – Gurmukh). Second to follow the route shown by mind and become a Manmukh.

Gurmukhs are those who follow the teachings of Guru Granth Sahib, get rid of vices, become one with Akalpurakh and Shabad Guru, who are spiritually embodiment of each other, achieve the stage of spiritual equipoise i.e. inner peace and spiritual bliss and finally achieve emancipation/salvation in this life itself.

Manmukhs are those, who instead of following teachings of Guru Granth Sahib, follow the guidance of their mind (ਮਨ), become Manmukhs, die spiritual death every now and then, waste their valuable life and go away.

Please be kind to read the Shabad of Fifth Guru Person, Guru Arjun Sahib, in Raag Majh, which is located at Panna 131 of Guru Granth Sahib and its meanings. The Shabad guides us as to who is Gurmukh and who is Manmukh and what Gurmukh achieves and what Manmukh achieves.

Akalpurakh sitting inside each of us (inner voice) , guides us to take the right path in life so as to have inner peace but many of us don’t listen to it. Rather, many take guidance from mind and go on the wrong path and continue to suffer, during the entire life, which you are calling hell.

ਅਰਥ: ਉਹ ਕੇਹੜਾ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਮਾਇਆ ਦੇ ਬੰਧਨਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਆਜ਼ਾਦ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਚਰਨਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਜੁੜਿਆ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ? ਉਹ ਕੇਹੜਾ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਨਾਲ ਡੂੰਘੀ ਸਾਂਝ ਪਾਈ ਰੱਖਦਾ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਸਿਫ਼ਤਿ-ਸਾਲਾਹ ਕਰਦਾ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ? (ਸੁਚੱਜਾ) ਗ੍ਰਿਹਸਤੀ ਕੌਣ ਹੋ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ? ਮਾਇਆ ਤੋਂ ਨਿਰਲੇਪ ਕੌਣ ਹੈ? ਉਹ ਕੇਹੜਾ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਹੈ ਜੋ (ਮਨੁੱਖਾ ਜਨਮ ਦੀ) ਕਦਰ ਸਮਝਦਾ ਹੈ?।1।
ਮਨੁੱਖ (ਮਾਇਆ ਦੇ ਮੋਹ ਦੇ ਬੰਧਨਾਂ ਵਿਚ) ਕਿਵੇਂ ਬੱਝ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਕਿਵੇਂ (ਉਹਨਾਂ ਬੰਧਨਾਂ ਤੋਂ) ਸੁਤੰਤਰ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ? ਕਿਸ ਤਰੀਕੇ ਨਾਲ ਜਨਮ ਮਰਨ ਦਾ ਗੇੜ ਮੁੱਕਦਾ ਹੈ? ਸੁਚੱਜੇ ਕੰਮ ਕੇਹੜੇ ਹਨ? ਉਹ ਕੇਹੜਾ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਦੁਨੀਆ ਵਿਚ ਵਿਚਰਦਾ ਹੋਇਆ ਭੀ ਵਾਸਨਾ-ਰਹਿਤ ਹੈ? ਉਹ ਕੇਹੜਾ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਆਪ ਸਿਫ਼ਤਿ-ਸਾਲਾਹ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ ਤੇ (ਹੋਰਨਾਂ ਪਾਸੋਂ) ਕਰਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ?।2।
ਸੁਖੀ ਜੀਵਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਕੌਣ ਹੈ? ਕੌਣ ਦੁੱਖਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਘਿਰਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ? ਸਨਮੁਖ ਕਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਹਾ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ? ਬੇਮੁਖ ਕਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਆਖੀਦਾ ਹੈ? ਪ੍ਰਭੂ-ਚਰਨਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਕਿਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਮਿਲ ਸਕੀਦਾ ਹੈ? ਮਨੁੱਖ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਤੋਂ ਕਿਵੇਂ ਵਿੱਛੁੜ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ? ਇਹ ਜਾਚ ਕੌਣ ਸਿਖਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ?।3।
ਉਹ ਕੇਹੜਾ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਹੈ ਜਿਸ ਦੀ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਵਿਕਾਰਾਂ ਵਲ ਦੌੜਦਾ ਮਨ ਟਿਕ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ? ਉਹ ਕੇਹੜਾ ਉਪਦੇਸ਼ ਹੈ ਜਿਸ ਉੱਤੇ ਤੁਰ ਕੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੁੱਖ ਸੁਖ ਇਕੋ ਜਿਹੇ ਸਹਾਰ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ? ਉਹ ਕੇਹੜਾ ਜੀਵਨ-ਢੰਗ ਹੈ ਜਿਸ ਨਾਲ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਨੂੰ ਸਿਮਰ ਸਕੇ? ਕਿਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਸਿਫ਼ਤਿ-ਸਾਲਾਹ ਕਰਦਾ ਰਹੇ?।4।
ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਦੱਸੇ ਰਾਹ ਤੇ ਤੁਰਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਮਾਇਆ ਦੇ ਬੰਧਨਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਆਜ਼ਾਦ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਯਾਦ ਵਿਚ ਜੁੜਿਆ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਸਰਨ ਵਿਚ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਹੀ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਨਾਲ ਡੂੰਘੀ ਸਾਂਝ ਪਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਸਿਫ਼ਤਿ-ਸਾਲਾਹ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਸਨਮੁਖ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਹੀ ਭਾਗਾਂ ਵਾਲਾ ਗ੍ਰਿਹਸਤ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਦੁਨੀਆ ਦੀ ਕਿਰਤ-ਕਾਰ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੋਇਆ ਭੀ ਨਿਰਲੇਪ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਉਹੀ ਮਨੁੱਖਾ ਜਨਮ ਦੀ ਕਦਰ ਸਮਝਦਾ ਹੈ।5।
(ਆਪਣੇ ਮਨ ਦੇ ਪਿੱਛੇ ਤੁਰ ਕੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਆਪਣੀ ਹੀ) ਹਉਮੈ ਦੇ ਕਾਰਨ (ਮਾਇਆ ਦੇ ਬੰਧਨਾਂ ਵਿਚ) ਬੱਝ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਸਰਨ ਪੈ ਕੇ (ਇਹਨਾਂ ਬੰਧਨਾਂ ਤੋਂ) ਆਜ਼ਾਦ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਦੱਸੇ ਰਾਹ ਉੱਤੇ ਤੁਰਿਆਂ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦਾ ਜਨਮ ਮਰਨ ਦਾ ਗੇੜ ਮੁੱਕ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਸਨਮੁਖ ਰਹਿ ਕੇ ਹੀ ਸੁਚੱਜੇ ਕੰਮ ਹੋ ਸਕਦੇ ਹਨ। ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਸਨਮੁਖ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੁਨੀਆ ਦੀ ਕਿਰਤ-ਕਾਰ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੀ ਵਾਸਨਾ ਰਹਿਤ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਅਜੇਹਾ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਜੋ ਕੁਝ ਭੀ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਵਿਚ ਟਿਕ ਕੇ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ।6।
ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਸਨਮੁਖ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਸੁਖੀ ਜੀਵਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈ, ਪਰ ਆਪਣੇ ਮਨ ਦੇ ਪਿੱਛੇ ਤੁਰਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨਿੱਤ ਦੁਖੀ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਦੱਸੇ ਰਾਹ ਤੇ ਤੁਰਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਵਲ ਮੂੰਹ ਰੱਖਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈ, ਆਪਣੇ ਮਨ ਦੇ ਪਿੱਛੇ ਤੁਰਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਬੰਦਾ ਰੱਬ ਵਲੋਂ ਮੂੰਹ ਮੋੜੀ ਰੱਖਦਾ ਹੈ। ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਸਨਮੁਖ ਰਿਹਾਂ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਲ ਸਕੀਦਾ ਹੈ, ਆਪਣੇ ਮਨ ਦੇ ਪਿੱਛੇ ਤੁਰਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਬੰਦਾ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਤੋਂ ਵਿੱਛੁੜ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਸਨਮੁਖ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਹੀ (ਸਹੀ ਜੀਵਨ ਦੀ) ਜਾਚ ਸਿਖਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।7।
ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਮੂੰਹੋਂ ਨਿਕਲਿਆ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਹੀ ਉਹ ਬੋਲ ਹੈ ਜਿਸ ਦੀ ਬਰਕਤਿ ਨਾਲ ਵਿਕਾਰਾਂ ਵਲ ਦੌੜਦਾ ਮਨ ਖਲੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਗੁਰੂ ਤੋਂ ਮਿਲਿਆ ਉਪਦੇਸ਼ ਹੀ (ਇਹ ਸਮਰੱਥਾ ਰੱਖਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਆਸਰੇ) ਦੁਖ ਸੁਖ ਨੂੰ ਇਕੋ ਜਿਹਾ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਸਹਾਰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਰਾਹ ਤੇ ਤੁਰਨਾ ਹੀ ਅਜੇਹੀ ਜੀਵਨ ਚਾਲ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਇਸ ਦੀ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਧਿਆਨ ਧਰ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਸਿਫ਼ਤਿ-ਸਾਲਾਹ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ।8।
(ਪਰ ਗੁਰਮੁਖ ਤੇ ਮਨਮੁਖ = ਇਹ) ਸਾਰੀ ਬਣਤਰ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਨੇ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਬਣਾਈ ਹੈ, (ਸਭ ਜੀਵਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਵਿਆਪਕ ਹੋ ਕੇ) ਉਹ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਸਭ ਕੁਝ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ ਤੇ (ਜੀਵਾਂ ਪਾਸੋਂ) ਕਰਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਜਗਤ ਦੀ ਸਾਰੀ ਖੇਡ ਚਲਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ।
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਉਹ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਆਪਣੇ ਇੱਕ ਸਰੂਪ ਤੋਂ ਬੇਅੰਤ ਰੂਪਾਂ ਰੰਗਾਂ ਵਾਲਾ ਬਣਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ। (ਇਹ ਸਾਰਾ ਬਹੁ ਰੰਗੀ ਜਗਤ) ਉਸ ਇੱਕ ਵਿਚ ਹੀ ਲੀਨ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।8।2। 36।
