Jaskaranji one thing Sikhs are badly lacking is values of truthful living. You will be shocked to here that in one prison in British Columbia Canada over 80% are Punjabis 20-30 years. As Sikhs we have not been able to break away from corrupt Indian way of life. Need of the time is to listen to what Gurbani teaches . Guru says BINA SANTIKH NAHEE KO RAJAI meaning we should work hard for honest living but learn to be happy with what we have, never use fraudulent ways to get rich. Our youth is getting into gangs and drug trafficking just to get rich fast. .

Very good question and i agree with both answers. To add

Kam Krodh Maya Madh Matasar Ea Khelat Sabh Juai Hare || Sat Santokh Daya Dharam Sach Eh Apunai Grih Bhitar Vare ||1||
Person who takes spiritual knowledge and wisdom from the Guru loses ardent sexual desire, anger, intoxication with worldly passion (Maya), ego and jealousy as stake in the game of chance and usher in mind (Mann) voluntary service (Sat), contentment (Santokh), compassion (Daya), righteousness (Dharam) and truthfulness (Sach).
These are what one have to abandon and imbibe in the mind (Mann) to be a Truthful Human Being.
