Respected S. Kuljinder Singh Ji;
Thank you for asking a very pertinent question.
I am unable to find a direct quote from Gurbani to answer your question. However from what I know of the Gurbani fundamentals, only you can decide the answer to your question.
Gurbani philosophy believes that everyone has the “JOAT” of the Creator within them. One needs to listen to it. When properly consulted, that inner self guides one to make right decision.
All decision taken in the best interests of the Creation/Humanity (SRISHTI) are good, and all decisions taken under the influence of any one or more of the vices, (KAAM, KRODH, LOBH, MOAH, or AHANKAAR) is likely to be selfish and wrong.
In the final analysis, you (the inner light within you) are the judge.
