      My own experience shows that spirituality gives us Charhdi Kalaa, Happiness and Bliss. I enjoy reading, listening and understanding Gurbani to realize divine virtues.

      Respected Adhiraj Ji;

      Thank you for asking this question.
      I am unable find any reference to any answer to your question.

      However, I support the answer provided earlier.
      If I may, I would like to add my two cents worth.

      Part of your questions refers to those “who feel spiritual”. I am unsure as what do you mean?
      Yes, in my opinion, to evaluate a spiritual person one must be at higher level in spirituality himself. You must be aware of the sayng, “It takes one to know one”.

      Sikhi is a way of life that when followed brings peace, satisfaction, and eternal joy of the mind.
      Only those who live it can experience it.
      To others who are less knowledgeable the spirituals may seem mentally sick.
      You might know that even Guru Nanak Sahib was called BHOOTNA and BEATALAA , But He turned out to be most clearheaded individual, a Guru for the humanity.
      Now you can figure out the answer to your question yourself.

      spirituality means being in connection to the oneness So if a person feels he or she is spiritual will never suffer from mental illness because spiritual people thought process is intuned with the oneness or rabbi gurns and positive thinking So we can say a person with negative thoughts and vices have mental illness not spiritual people
