A saint is characterized by qualities such as being unattached to sins, pure in thought and deed, and dedicated to spreading “The Name” without being bound by rituals. A true saint sees God in everything, loves all, and remains humble. Guru Arjan describes a saint as one who realizes God’s presence, finds solace in kirtan, treats everyone equally, and follows personal and social ethics with humility.
