The First Guru Person, Guru Nanak Sahib, had made it very clear, in his discussion with Yogis, that his Guru was Shabad when he said ‘Shabad Guru Surat Dhun Chela (ਸਬਦ ਗੁਰੂ ਸੁਰਤਿ ਧੁਨਿ ਚੇਲਾ)’. Therefore, it is not correct to treat Guru Granth Sahib as a human.
Guru Granth Sahib teaches spirituality, which has nothing to do with the body. Therefore, those who treat Guru Granth Sahib as Human are misled.
I believe the Guru Granth Sahib Ji is very important to Sikhs. They think of it like a living teacher because it contains wise teachings from Sikh Gurus. This makes them show it a lot of respect, similar to how they would treat a person they deeply admire. It helps Sikhs feel close to their faith and the teachings in the Guru Granth Sahib Ji.
