The martyrdom of the Sahibzaadas and our present situation

When every Sikh does Ardaas daily in the morning and evening, mention is made in the prayer. Panj Pyaare, Char Sahibzaade. These four Sahibzaadas are the four sons of Dhan Dhan Guru Gobind Singh Ji. Whose names are:
Baba Ajit Singh Ji
Baba Jujhar Singh Ji
Baba Jorawar Singh Ji
Baba Fateh Singh Ji
From Dhan Dhan Guru Nanak Sahib to Dhan Guru Gobind Singh Patshaah, a total of 22 Guru sons have been born. But in Ardaas only the names of 4 sons of the Guru Sahib Ji comes, and along with their names Baba also appears. However, the physical age of all four Sahibzadaas is very young. Baba Ajit Singh was about 17-18 years old. About 14-15 years was the age of Baba Jujhar Singh Ji. Baba Jorawar Singh Ji was martyred for about 9 years, and Baba Fateh Singh Ji for only 7 years. At such a young age, such great deeds enlightened the world that Sahibzaadas is remembered as a small and big massacre. Walking on the path of religion and truth, they were martyred but did not leave the path of truth. Both elder Sahibzaadas were Martyred in the battle of Chamkaur and the two young Sahibzaade were carved alive in the wall of Sirhind. The days from December 20 to December 26 are called Martyr’s Day. In these days the fort of Anandpur was abandoned, the family was separated, many Sikhs were martyred, four Sahibzaadas were martyred.
This whole thing happened in December 1704. Let us remember the four Sahibzaadas, the many martyred Sikhs and Mata Gujar Kaur Ji in this month of December and pay homage to the martyrdom of all of them.
We will begin with the night of December 20-21, 1704. On this dark night Dasam Patshaah Dhan Guru Gobind Singh Ji and his family and Sikhs had to leave the fort of Anandpur. It was learned that the Jatha was about to be attacked on the Shyahi hill. Dasam Patshaah handed over a group of 50 Singhs to Bhai Udai Singh at that time and told him to fight here. He proceeded with the rest of the Singhs. At that place, Bhai Udai Singh and his comrades were killed in battle with Raja Ajmer Chand’s army. There were more attacks on Patshaah and the rest of Singhs along the way. The Anandpur side was attacked by the Pahaadi Kings/Raja’s, the other side was attacked by the Nawabs of Malerkotla, Sirhind and Ropar. The third attack took place while the entire Wahir/Troupe was crossing the Sarsa river. About 200 Singhs were killed. This is where the family split up. Dasmesh Pita, Panj Pyaare, the two eldest sons, Bhai Dan Singh, Bhai Mukand Singh, Baba Amar Singh and other Singhs reach Kotla Nihang Khan from here. There Bhai Bachittar Singh is left injured in Nihang Khan’s house. Then Guru Sahib Ji reached Chamkaur with the rest of the Singhs. There he settled in the mud fort of Chamkaur. This is where the battle of Chamkaur took place. There were only 40 Singhs inside and an innumerable army outside. Here the strategy was devised that a group of 5-5 Singhs from inside would go out and fight in the battle. Here we cannot describe the whole situation but when Sahibzaada Baba Ajit Singh Ji went to war with a group of only 5 Singhs. Poet Alla Yar Khan Jogi presents the situation of that time in a very unique way. Sahibzada Ajit Singh fought with such courage. The poet describes:
YEH BARAK HAI TALVAAR NAHI HAI
IS KAAT KAA DEKHA KABHI HATHIYAAR NAHI HAI
Baba Ajit Singh Ji was martyred while fighting in the battle. Then Kalgidhar Patshaah himself called for Jaikaara. After that the younger Sahibzaada Baba Jujhar Singh Ji also took permission to go to war. And Sahibzaada Jujhar Singh Ji too was martyred while fighting. This is what the poet has written:
KATWA DIYE SHISH SHAAM NE GEETA KO SUNA KAR
ROOH FOOK DEE GOBIND NE AULAAD KATAA KAR
On the other hand, Mata Gujar Kaur Ji and the two younger Sahibzaadas reach Gangu Brahmin’s village Saheri. Gangu deceitfully gets Mata Ji and Sahibzadaas arrested by Morinda’s soldiers Jani Khan and Mani Khan. From there, they were taken to be presented to the Nawab of Sirhind. Mata ji and Sahibzaadas were kept imprisoned in the Thanda Burj. After all, at the tender age of 7 years and 9 years, both the Sahibzaadas were buried alive. When the wall fell, the executioner was called and the heads of the princes were cut off and separated from the torso. Mata ji was martyred by being pushed down from the Thanda Burj and thrown down. I have not narrated any complete incident here as we have all heard it many times. But my purpose here in reminding you of these few incidents is only to show where we stand today. Most of us may not even remember these days of martyrdom. Today we get married these days, we do bhangras. We party. Did Guru Gobind Sahib Ji sacrifice his sons/family for ungrateful people like us? Do think about this. Look at every page of the Sikh community, it is full of martyrs. If you want to get married in these days, do it by dedicating yourself to the martyrdom of Sahibzaadas. Start your new life by remembering the martyrs and taking inspiration from their lives.
One very special thing I want to share with my dear children here
My dear children Like the Christmas festival on December 25 these days. In the same way our Sikhs have martyrdom days from December 20 to December 26. Where you celebrate Christmas with your friends, be sure to also tell your friends about these historic days of the martyrdom too.

Guru Gobind Singh Ji sacrificed the whole family of his Sahibzaadas for us. Children, sit down with your parents and grandparents and learn from them. Try to listen to your history from your elders and obey them.
Now let us think
Are we doing our duty? Do we remember these days of our martyrdom? Have we ever sat down with our children and talked to them about our history? Now is the time to start if you have not. Let us promise ourselves on the day of martyrdom this year that we too must remember our history and connect our children with our golden history. If not more, then at least take the time to remember the sacrifices made by Kalgidhar Pita in your family daily from this December 20 to December 26. Because it is to be remembered forever what the poet Allaa Yaar Khan Jogi wrote after the martyrdom of the younger Sahibzaadas.

This is our true heritage. Let’s recognize our heritage and connect with our heritage.
I also request and join hands to all my brothers and sisters who are living abroad. Whenever you go to Punjab, you must take your family and children to Chamkaur Sahib and Fatehgarh Sahib. We must go and worship at the places where our Guru sacrificed everything for us. Finally let us remember the words of Jogi ji and bow our heads a hundred times.

ਹਰ ਸਿੱਖ ਜਦੋਂ ਰੋਜਾਨਾ ਸਵੇਰੇ ਸ਼ਾਮ ਅਰਦਾਸ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ ਤਾਂ ਅਰਦਾਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਜਿਕਰ ਆਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਪੰਜ ਪਿਆਰੇ, ਚਾਰ ਸਾਹਿਬਜਾਦੇ । ਇਹ ਚਾਰ ਸਾਹਿਬਜਾਦੇ ਹਨ ਧੰਨ ਧੰਨ ਗੁਰੂ ਗੋਬਿੰਦ ਸਿੰਘ ਜੀ ਦੇ ਚਾਰ ਸਪੁੱਤਰ। ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਹਨ।

ਧੰਨ ਧੰਨ ਗੁਰੂ ਨਾਨਕ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਤੋਂ ਲੈਕੇ ਧੰਨ ਗੁਰੂ ਗੋਬਿੰਦ ਸਿੰਘ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਤੱਕ ਕੁਲ 22 ਗੁਰੂ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਹੋਏ ਹਨ। ਪਰ ਅਰਦਾਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਿਰਫ 4 ਗੁਰੂ ਪੁਤਰਾਂ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਬਾਬਾ ਵੀ ਲੱਗਦਾ ਹੈ। ਹਾਲਾਕਿ ਚਾਰੇ ਹੀ ਸਾਹਿਬਜ਼ਾਦਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਸਰੀਰਕ ਉਮਰ ਤਾਂ ਬਹੁਤ ਛੋਟੀ ਹੈ। ਬਾਬਾ ਅਜੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਜੀ ਦੀ ਉਮਰ ਕੋਈ 17-18 ਸਾਲ। ਬਾਬਾ ਜੁਝਾਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਦੀ ਕੋਈ14-15 ਸਾਲ। ਬਾਬਾ ਜੋਰਾਵਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਜੀ ਕੋਈ 9 ਕੁ ਸਾਲ ਅਤੇ ਬਾਬਾ ਫਤਿਹ ਸਿੰਘ ਜੀ ਸਿਰਫ 7 ਕੁ ਸਾਲ ਸਰੀਰਕ ਆਯੂ ਦੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਸ਼ਹੀਦ ਹੋ ਗਏ। ਏਨੀਆਂ ਛੋਟੀਆਂ ਉਮਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੀ ਏਨੇ ਵੱਡੇ ਕਾਰਨਾਮੇ ਕਰਕੇ ਦੁਨੀਆ ਵਿਚ ਰੋਸ਼ਨੀ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਕਿ ਸਾਹਿਬਜ਼ਾਦਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਨਿੱਕੀਆਂ ਜਿੰਦਾ ਵੱਡੇ ਸਾਕੇ ਕਹਿਕੇ ਵੀ ਯਾਦ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।ਧਰਮ ਅਤੇ ਸੱਚ ਦੇ ਰਸਤੇ ਤੇ ਚੱਲਦਿਆਂ ਸ਼ਹੀਦ ਤਾਂ ਹੋ ਗਏ ਪਰ ਸੱਚ ਦਾ ਰਸਤਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਛੱਡਿਆ।ਦੋਵੇਂ ਵੱਡੇ ਸਾਹਿਬਜ਼ਾਦੇ ਚਮਕੌਰ ਦੀ ਜੰਗ ਵਿੱਚ ਸ਼ਹੀਦ ਹੋਏ ਅਤੇ ਦੋਵੇ ਛੋਟੇ ਸਾਹਿਬਜ਼ਾਦਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਰਹਿੰਦ ਦੀ ਦੀਵਾਰ ਵਿਚ ਜੀਊਦੇ ਹੀ ਚਿਣਵਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ। 20 ਦਸੰਬਰ ਤੋਂ ਲੈਕੇ 26 ਦਸੰਬਰ ਤੱਕ ਜੋ ਦਿਨ ਹਨ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸ਼ਹੀਦੀ ਦਿਹਾੜੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਿਨਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੀ ਆਨੰਦਪੁਰ ਦਾ ਕਿਲਾ ਛੱਡਿਆ, ਪਰਿਵਾਰ ਵਿਛੋੜਾ ਪਿਆ, ਕਈ ਸਿੱਖ ਸ਼ਹੀਦ ਹੋਏ, ਚਾਰੇ ਸਾਹਿਬਜ਼ਾਦਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਸ਼ਹਾਦਤ ਹੋਈ।
ਇਹ ਸਾਰਾ ਵਰਤਾਰਾ ਦਸੰਬਰ 1704 ਵਿੱਚ ਹੋਇਆ। ਆਉ ਅਸੀਂ ਇਸ ਦਸੰਬਰ ਦੇ ਮਹੀਨੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਚਾਰੇ ਸਾਹਿਬਜਾਦੇ, ਅਨੇਕਾਂ ਸ਼ਹੀਦ ਹੋਏ ਸਿੱਖ ਅਤੇ ਮਾਤਾ ਗੁਜਰ ਕੌਰ ਜੀ ਨੂੰ ਯਾਦ ਕਰੀਏ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਸਾਰਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਸ਼ਹਾਦਤ ਨੂੰ ਨਤਮਸਤਕ ਹੋਈਏ।
ਅਸੀਂ ਗੱਲ 20-21 ਦਸੰਬਰ 1704 ਦੀ ਉਸ ਰਾਤ ਤੋਂ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਾਂ। ਇਸ ਕਾਲੀ ਹਨੇਰੀ ਰਾਤ ਨੂੰ ਦਸਮ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਧੰਨ ਗੁਰੂ ਗੋਬਿੰਦ ਸਿੰਘ ਜੀ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ ਅਤੇ ਸਿੱਖਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਨੰਦਪੁਰ ਦਾ ਕਿਲਾ ਛੱਡਣਾ ਪਿਆ।ਰਸਤੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਤਾ ਲੱਗਾ ਕਿ ਸ਼ਿਆਹੀ ਟਿੱਬੀ ਤੇ ਜਥੇ ਉਪਰ ਹਮਲਾ ਹੋਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈ। ਦਸਮ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਵੇਲੇ ਉਥੇ ਭਾਈ ਉਦੈ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੂੰ 50 ਸਿੰਘਾਂ ਦਾ ਜਥਾ ਸੌਪਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਇਥੇ ਮੁਕਾਬਲਾ ਕਰੋ। ਆਪ ਬਾਕੀ ਸਿੰਘਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਲੈਕੇ ਅੱਗੇ ਚੱਲ ਪਏ।ਉਸ ਜਗ੍ਹਾ ਤੇ ਭਾਈ ਉਦੈ ਸਿੰਘ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਸਾਥੀ ਰਾਜਾ ਅਜਮੇਰ ਚੰਦ ਦੀ ਫੌਜ ਨਾਲ ਜੰਗ ਕਰਦਿਆਂ ਸ਼ਹੀਦ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ।ਦਸਮ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਅਤੇ ਬਾਕੀ ਦੇ ਵਹੀਰ ਤੇ ਰਸਤੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਜਾਦਿਆਂ ਜਾਦਿਆਂ ਹੋਰ ਵੀ ਹਮਲੇ ਹੋਏ। ਆਨੰਦਪੁਰ ਵਾਲੇ ਪਾਸੇ ਪਹਾੜੀ ਰਾਜਿਆਂ ਨੇ ਹਮਲਾ ਕੀਤਾ , ਦੂਜੇ ਪਾਸੇ ਮਲੇਰਕੋਟਲਾ, ਸਰਹੰਦ ਅਤੇ ਰੋਪੜ ਦੇ ਨਵਾਬਾਂ ਨੇ ਹਮਲਾ ਕੀਤਾ। ਤੀਸਰਾ ਹਮਲਾ ਉਸ ਵਕਤ ਹੋਇਆ ਜਦੋਂ ਇਹ ਸਾਰਾ ਵਹੀਰ ਸਰਸਾ ਨਦੀ ਪਾਰ ਕਰ ਰਿਹਾ ਸੀ।ਇਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਤਕਰੀਬਨ 200 ਸਿੰਘ ਸ਼ਹੀਦ ਹੋਏ। ਇਥੇ ਹੀ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ ਵਿਛੋੜਾ ਹੋਇਆ।ਦਸਮੇਸ਼ ਪਿਤਾ, ਪੰਜ ਪਿਆਰੇ, ਦੋਵੇਂ ਵੱਡੇ ਸਾਹਿਬਜ਼ਾਦੇ, ਭਾਈ ਦਾਨ ਸਿੰਘ, ਭਾਈ ਮੁਕੰਦ ਸਿੰਘ, ਬਾਬਾ ਅਮਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਅਤੇ ਹੋਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਇਥੋਂ ਕੋਟਲਾ ਨਿਹੰਗ ਖਾਂ ਪੁਹੰਚਦੇ ਹਨ। ਉਥੇ ਭਾਈ ਬਚਿੱਤਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੂੰ ਨਿਹੰਗ ਖਾਂ ਦੇ ਘਰ ਜਖਮੀ ਹਾਲਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਛੱਡਦੇ ਹਨ । ਆਪ ਬਾਕੀ ਦੇ ਸਿੰਘਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਚਮਕੌਰ ਪੁੰਹਚਦੇ ਹਨ।ਉਥੇ ਚਮਕੌਰ ਦੀ ਕੱਚੀ ਗੜ੍ਹੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਟਿਕਾਣਾ ਕੀਤਾ।ਇਥੇ ਹੀ ਚਮਕੌਰ ਦੀ ਜੰਗ ਹੋਈ। ਅੰਦਰ ਸਿਰਫ 40 ਸਿੰਘ ਅਤੇ ਬਾਹਰ ਅਣਗਿਣਤ ਫੌਜ।ਇਥੇ ਇਹ ਰਣਨੀਤੀ ਬਣਾਈ ਗਈ ਕਿ ਅੰਦਰੋਂ 5-5 ਸਿੰਘਾਂ ਦਾ ਜੱਥਾ ਬਾਹਰ ਜਾਏਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਜੰਗ ਵਿੱਚ ਮੁਕਾਬਲਾ ਕਰੇਗਾ। ਇਥੇ ਅਸੀਂ ਪੂਰਾ ਹਾਲ ਤਾਂ ਨਹੀਂ ਬਿਆਨ ਕਰ ਸਕਦੇ ਪਰ ਜਦੋਂ ਸਾਹਿਬਜਾਦਾ ਬਾਬਾ ਅਜੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਜੀ ਜੰਗ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਿਰਫ 5 ਸਿੰਘਾਂ ਦੇ ਜਥੇ ਨਾਲ ਜੰਗ ਵਿੱਚ ਗਏ । ਉਸ ਸਮੇਂ ਦੇ ਹਾਲਾਤ ਨੂੰ ਕਵੀ ਅੱਲਾ ਯਾਰ ਖਾਨ ਜੋਗੀ ਬਹੁਤ ਬਾਕਮਾਲ ਤਰੀਕੇ ਨਾਲ ਪੇਸ਼ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ।ਸਾਹਿਬਜਾਦਾ ਅਜੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੇ ਏਨੀ ਦਲੇਰੀ ਨਾਲ ਮੁਕਾਬਲਾ ਕੀਤਾ। ਕਵੀ ਬਿਆਨ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ
ਯੇਹ ਬਰਕ ਹੈ ਤਲਵਾਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ
ਇਸ ਕਾਟ ਕਾ ਦੇਖਾ ਕਭੀ ਹਥਿਆਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ
ਬਾਬਾ ਅਜੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਜੀ ਜੰਗ ਵਿੱਚ ਜੂਝਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਸ਼ਹੀਦ ਹੋ ਗਏ।ਤਾਂ ਕਲਗੀਧਰ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਨੇ ਆਪ ਜੈਕਾਰੇ ਬੁਲਾਏ।ਉਸ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਛੋਟੇ ਸਾਹਿਬਜ਼ਾਦੇ ਬਾਬਾ ਜੁਝਾਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੇ ਵੀ ਜੰਗ ਵਿੱਚ ਜਾਣ ਦੀ ਆਗਿਆ ਲਈ। ਅਤੇ ਸਾਹਿਬਜਾਦਾ ਜੁਝਾਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਵੀ ਜੂਝਦੇ ਜੂਝਦੇ ਸ਼ਹੀਦ ਹੋ ਗਏ।ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਕਵੀ ਨੇ ਇੰਜ ਲਿਖਿਆ ਹੈ
ਕਟਵਾ ਦੀਏ ਸ਼ਿਸ਼ ਸ਼ਾਮ ਨੇ ਗੀਤਾ ਕੋ ਸੁਨਾ ਕਰ
ਰੂਹ ਫੂਕ ਦੀ ਗੋਬਿੰਦ ਨੇ ਔਲਾਦ ਕਟਾ ਕਰ
ਦੂਸਰੇ ਪਾਸੇ ਮਾਤਾ ਗੁਜਰ ਕੌਰ ਜੀ ਅਤੇ ਦੋਵੇਂ ਛੋਟੇ ਸਾਹਿਬਜ਼ਾਦੇ , ਗੰਗੂ ਬ੍ਰਾਹਮਣ ਦੇ ਪਿੰਡ ਸਹੇੜੀ ਪੁੰਹਚ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ।ਉਥੋਂ ਗੰਗੂ ਧੋਖੇ ਨਾਲ ਮਾਤਾ ਜੀ ਅਤੇ ਸਾਹਿਬਜ਼ਾਦਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਮੌਰਿੰਡੇ ਦੇ ਸਿਪਾਹੀਆਂ ਜਾਨੀ ਖਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਮਾਨੀ ਖਾਂ ਕੋਲ ਗਿ੍ਫਤਾਰ ਕਰਵਾ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ।ਉਥੋਂ, ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਰਹੰਦ ਦੇ ਨਵਾਬ ਕੋਲ ਪੇਸ਼ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਲਿਜਾਇਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਮਾਤਾ ਜੀ ਅਤੇ ਸਾਹਿਬਜ਼ਾਦਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਠੰਡੇ ਬੁਰਜ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੈਦ ਕਰਕੇ ਰੱਖਿਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਅਖੀਰ ਦੋਵੇਂ ਸਾਹਿਬਜ਼ਾਦਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਿਰਫ 7 ਸਾਲ ਅਤੇ 9 ਸਾਲ ਦੀ ਛੋਟੀ ਜਿਹੀ ਉਮਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਜੀਊਦੇ ਜੀਅ ਹੀ ਨੀਹਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਚਿਣਵਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਜਦੋਂ ਕੰਧ ਡਿੱਗ ਪਈ ਤਾ ਜਲਾਦਾ ਨੂੰ ਬੁਲਾਕੇ ਸਾਹਿਬਜ਼ਾਦਿਆਂ ਦਾ ਸੀਸ ਕੱਟਕੇ ਧੜ ਨਾਲੋਂ ਅਲੱਗ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।ਮਾਤਾ ਜੀ ਨੂੰ ਠੰਢੇ ਬੁਰਜ ਉਤੋ ਧੱਕਾ ਮਾਰ ਕੇ ਥੱਲੇ ਸੁੱਟ ਕੇ ਸ਼ਹੀਦ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।ਮੈਂ ਇਥੇ ਕੋਈ ਪੂਰੀ ਘਟਨਾ ਬਿਆਨ ਨਹੀਂ ਕੀਤੀ ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਅਸੀਂ ਸਭ ਨੇ ਇਹ ਬਹੁਤ ਵਾਰ ਸੁਣਿਆ ਹੈ। ਪਰ ਇਥੇ ਮੇਰਾ ਇਹ ਕੁੱਝ ਕੁ ਘਟਨਾਵਾਂ ਯਾਦ ਕਰਾਉਣ ਦਾ ਮਕਸਦ ਸਿਰਫ ਏਨਾ ਹੀ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਅਸੀਂ ਅੱਜ ਕਿਥੇ ਆਕੇ ਖੜੇ ਹੋ ਗਏ ਹਾਂ।ਸ਼ਾਇਦ ਸਾਡੇ ਵਿਚੋਂ ਬਹੁਤਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਇਹ ਸ਼ਹੀਦੀ ਦਿਹਾੜੇ ਯਾਦ ਵੀ ਨਾ ਹੋਣ। ਅੱਜ ਅਸੀਂ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਿਨਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਵਿਆਹ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਾਂ, ਭੰਗੜੇ ਪਾਉਂਦੇ ਹਾਂ। ਪਾਰਟੀਆਂ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਾਂ। ਕੀ ਸਾਡੇ ਵਰਗੇ ਅਕਿ੍ਤਘਣਾ ਲਈ ਗੁਰੂ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਨੇ ਆਪਣਾ ਸਰਬੰਸ ਵਾਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਕਦੀ ਸੋਚੀਏ ਜਰੂਰ। ਦੇਖੋ, ਸਿੱਖ ਕੌਮ ਦਾ ਤਾਂ ਹਰ ਪੰਨਾ ਸ਼ਹੀਦੀਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਭਰਿਆ ਪਿਆ ਹੈ। ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਿਨਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਵਿਆਹ ਕਰਨੇ ਹਨ ਤਾਂ ਸਾਹਿਬਜ਼ਾਦਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਸ਼ਹਾਦਤ ਨੂੰ ਸਮਰਪਨ ਕਰਕੇ ਕਰੋ। ਸ਼ਹੀਦ ਸਿੰਘਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਯਾਦ ਕਰਕੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਜੀਵਨ ਤੋਂ ਪ੍ਰੇਰਨਾ ਲੈਕੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਨਵੀਂ ਜਿੰਦਗੀ ਦੀ ਸ਼ੁਰੂਆਤ ਕਰੋ।
ਇੱਕ ਬਹੁਤ ਖਾਸ ਗੱਲ ਮੈਂ ਇਥੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਿਆਰੇ ਬੱਚਿਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਸਾਂਝੀ ਕਰਨੀ ਚਾਹੁੰਦੀ ਹਾਂ
ਮੇਰੇ ਪਿਆਰੇ ਬੱਚਿਓ। ਜਿਵੇਂ ਕਿ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਿਨਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ 25 ਦਸੰਬਰ ਨੂੰ ਕਿ੍ਸਮਿਸ ਦਾ ਤਿਉਹਾਰ ਆਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਉਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਹੀ ਸਾਡੇ ਸਿੱਖਾਂ ਵਿਚ 20 ਦਸੰਬਰ ਤੋਂ ਲੈਕੇ 26 ਦਸੰਬਰ ਤੱਕ ਸ਼ਹੀਦੀ ਦਿਹਾੜੇ ਹੁੰਦੇ ਹਨ। ਜਿਥੇ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਦੋਸਤਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਕਿ੍ਸਮਿਸ ਮਨਾਉਂਦੇ ਹੋ ਉਥੇ ਨਾਲ ਹੀ ਆਪਣੇ ਦੋਸਤਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਸ਼ਹੀਦੀ ਇਤਿਹਾਸਕ ਦਿਹਾੜਿਆਂ ਬਾਰੇ ਵੀ ਜਰੂਰ ਦੱਸੋ।
ਪਿਆਰੇ ਬੱਚਿਓ
ਗੁਰੂ ਗੋਬਿੰਦ ਸਿੰਘ ਜੀ ਨੇ ਸਾਰਾ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ ਆਪਣੇ ਸਾਹਿਬਜਾਦੇ ਸਾਡੇ ਲਈ ਕੁਰਬਾਨ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤੇ।ਬੱਚਿਉ ਆਪਣੇ ਮੰਮੀ ਡੈਡੀ ਅਤੇ ਵੱਡਿਆਂ ਕੋਲ ਬੈਠਕੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਸਿੱਖਿਆਵਾਂ ਲਉ। ਕੋਸ਼ਿਸ਼ ਕਰੋ ਕਿ ਆਪਣੇ ਵੱਡਿਆਂ ਕੋਲੋਂ ਆਪਣੀ ਹਿਸਟਰੀ ਸੁਣੋ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਗੱਲ ਵੀ ਮੰਨੋ।
ਹੁਣ ਅਸੀਂ ਵੀ ਸੋਚੀਏ
ਕੀ ਅਸੀਂ ਆਪਣਾ ਫਰਜ਼ ਨਿਭਾ ਰਹੇ ਹਾਂ। ਕੀ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਇਹ ਸ਼ਹੀਦੀ ਦਿਹਾੜੇ ਯਾਦ ਹਨ। ਕੀ ਅਸੀਂ ਕਦੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਬੱਚਿਆਂ ਕੋਲ ਬੈਠਕੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਆਪਣੇ ਇਤਿਹਾਸ ਦੀਆਂ ਬਾਤਾਂ ਪਾਈਆਂ ਹਨ।ਹੁਣ ਵੀ ਵਕਤ ਹੈ। ਆਉ ਇਸ ਸਾਲ ਸ਼ਹੀਦੀ ਦਿਹਾੜੇ ਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਆਪ ਨਾਲ ਇਹ ਵਾਇਦਾ ਕਰੀਏ ਕਿ ਅਸੀਂ ਆਪ ਵੀ ਆਪਣਾ ਇਤਿਹਾਸ ਯਾਦ ਰੱਖਣਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਬੱਚਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਆਪਣੇ ਸੁਨਿਹਰੇ ਇਤਿਹਾਸ ਨਾਲ ਜੋੜਨਾ ਹੈ।ਜਿਆਦਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਤਾਂ ਘੱਟ ਤੋਂ ਘੱਟ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਸਮਾਂ ਤਾਂ ਕੱਢੀਏ ਕਿ ਇਸ ਦਸੰਬਰ ਤੋਂ 20 ਤੋ ਲੈਕੇ 26 ਦਸੰਬਰ ਤੱਕ ਰੋਜਾਨਾ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਕਲਗੀਧਰ ਪਿਤਾ ਦੀਆਂ ਕੀਤੀਆਂ ਕੁਰਬਾਨੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਯਾਦ ਜਰੂਰ ਕਰਨਾ ਹੈ।ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਇਹ ਸਦਾ ਯਾਦ ਰੱਖਣਾ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਕਵੀ ਅਲਾ ਯਾਰ ਖਾਨ ਜੋਗੀ ਨੇ ਛੋਟੇ ਸਾਹਿਬਜ਼ਾਦਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਸ਼ਹਾਦਤ ਤੋ ਬਾਅਦ ਲਿਖਿਆ ਸੀ।
ਹਮ ਜਾਨ ਦੇਕੇ ਔਰੋ ਕੀ ਜਾਨ ਬਚਾ ਚਲੇ
ਸਿੱਖੀ ਕੀ ਨੀਵ ਹਮ ਸਰੋਂ ਪੇ ਉਠਾ ਚਲੇ
ਇਹ ਸਾਡਾ ਅਸਲੀ ਵਿਰਸਾ ਹੈ। ਆਉ ਆਪਣਾ ਵਿਰਸਾ ਪਹਿਚਾਨੀਏ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਵਿਰਸੇ ਨਾਲ ਜੁੜੀਏ।
ਇੱਕ ਹੱਥ ਜੋੜ ਕੇ ਬੇਨਤੀ ਹੈ ਆਪਣੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਭੈਣ ਭਰਾਵਾਂ ਅੱਗੇ ਕਿ ਜੋ ਮੇਰੇ ਭੈਣ ਭਰਾ ਵਿਦੇਸ਼ ਵਿੱਚ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ ਜਦੋਂ ਵੀ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਜਾਉ ਤਾਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ ਨੂੰ, ਬੱਚਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਚਮਕੌਰ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਅਤੇ ਫਤਹਿਗੜ੍ਹ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਜਰੂਰ ਲੈਕੇ ਜਾਉ। ਜਰੂਰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਅਸਥਾਨਾਂ ਤੇ ਜਾਕੇ ਨਤਮਸਤਕ ਹੋਇਆ ਕਰੀਏ ਜਿੱਥੇ ਸਾਡੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਨੇ ਸਾਡੇ ਵਾਸਤੇ ਆਪਣਾ ਸਭ ਕੁਝ ਕੁਰਬਾਨ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ।ਅਖੀਰ ਫਿਰ ਜੋਗੀ ਜੀ ਦੀ ਉਸ ਗੱਲ ਨੂੰ ਯਾਦ ਕਰੀਏ ਅਤੇ ਸੌ ਸੌ ਵਾਰੀ ਸੀਸ ਝੁਕਾਈਏ।
