Even in today’s age there are many people who are trapped in the shackles of astrology. They include people from almost all walks of life. Whether one is illiterate or literate. A large number of people from big to small are trapped in this mess. Clever people have come up with many ways to rob the society or to take advantage of them. One of these methods is astrology. The one who does this work is called an astrologer. Astrology is a big business in India. It is a source of income for many people. Astrology is officially recognized in Banaras for the study of astrology. Many people make a horoscope at the birth of their child. By looking at this horoscope the astrologer tells the future of the child such as what kind of character the child will have, how much education they will get, what their business will be like, how much progress they will make in life. Matching horoscopes of children at the time of marriage, how many of these qualities are found and matched. Another ridiculous thing is that somewhere or somehow the children are not Manglik. This will also be told by the astrologer and the remedy will also be done by the astrologer. By the way, let me make it clear here that Manglik means Kulhina / Kulhini. Now the priest means the astrologer is cunning so the Jyotshi thought if he called Kulhina to someone’s Children then the people are going to be angry at him. So, the astrologer changed the word to Manglik. Today we give money to astrologers and at the same time, he is calling our children kulhina/Manglik. Mostly people ask the astrologer to take the Shubh Mahurat at the time their children’s marriage it does not make any sense. The thing to think about is that we have children, they have to get married. What is the need to ask the Pandit / Astrologer in this? Families should sit down with each other and get married on the day that suits them. Even when building a house, the astrologers must apply the Vaastu Shastra calculations. The thing here is that we spend the money, we own the house, we will live in the house. Where did Vaastu Shastra come from? All these things only make one mentally ill and nothing else. Another thing is that many people go to astrologers to ask if I will get any disease. Tell me one thing! Does the astrologer have a medical degree from somewhere? If the body feels any discomfort, go to a specialist and seek treatment. But a large part of our society is trapped in the web of astrologers.
This is a matter for the common man. But even our great political leaders are not out of the grasp of these people. Even when Dr. Manmohan Singh became the Prime Minister of India in 2004, great astrologers fell into deep shock. Astrologers never thought about that. If these people can see such a future, then what is the need to kill Army personnel at the borders of the country. Astrologers should tell when there is a threat to the country. They should also calculate which foreign banks have the country’s money. Moreover, for the past two years, the whole world has been plagued by diseases like corona. How many people have stopped working, how many family members have passed away? These people/Astrologers could not do anything about it. Many of our famous players have also fallen into the trap of astrologers. Astrology is brought before playing the match that if we will win or not win. By listening to this type of nonsense thing their mindset is already weakened.
Some people follow astrologers and wear stones on their fingers.
What a foolish thing to do. What good is a stone? The work is to be accomplished by diligence.
If wearing nags/stones makes things work well, then the whole world should be given nags/stones so that all the quarrels, all the diseases in the world will be gone forever.
There are also many people who read the newspaper in the morning to see the horoscope to see how their day will go. These are all things of a weak mindset. There is nothing real in them.
Another thing to think about is that no astrologer in the world can ever tell the exact time of birth and death. Even the horoscopes are made only according to the time we specify. It is also important to keep in mind that clocks sometimes have a time difference. These people are just running their own bread and water with their cunning, all the rest are just done by guessing things.
But let us be blessed by the Guru Sahibs who blessed us with the great treasure of Gurbani. Developed our thinking and showed us the clear way out of this kind of bondage. Let us now take guidance from Gurbani about astrology:
ਪੰਡਿਤ ਪਾਧੇ ਜੋਇਸੀ ਨਿਤ ਪੜ੍ਹਹਿ ਪੁਰਾਣਾ ॥
ਅੰਤਰਿ ਵਸਤੁ ਨ ਜਾਣਨੀ ਘਟਿ ਬ੍ਰਹਮੁ ਲੁਕਾਣਾ ॥(419)
That means Pandit Pandhe, Jyotshi these people who endlessly read the Puraanas and Jyotsh Granth. The astrologers among them also claim to predict the future of the people but they have no knowledge about the Nirankar that resides in their Hirda. They themselves don’t know about their inner self and what will they tell the future of others.
ਗਣਿ ਗਣਿ ਜੋਤਕੁ ਕਾਂਡੀ ਕੀਨੀ ॥
ਪੜੈ ਸੁਣਾਵੈ ਤਤੁ ਨ ਚੀਨੀ ॥
ਸਭਸੈ ਊਪਰਿ ਗੁਰ ਸਬਦੁ ਬੀਚਾਰੁ ॥
ਹੋਰ ਕਥਨੀ ਬਦਉ ਨ ਸਗਲੀ ਛਾਰੁ।।(904)
Meaning astrologers, according to Jyotish Granth, recite 12 chapters of Janam Patri to the people. There are all kinds of tricks but the astrologer himself does not know that above all there is the idea of God, the truth. All the tricks are useless without good qualities.
ਪੰਡਿਤ ਪੜਦੇ ਜੋਤਕੀ ਨਾ ਬੂਝਹਿ ਬੀਚਾਰਾ ॥
ਸਭੁ ਕਿਛੁ ਤੇਰਾ ਖੇਲੁ ਹੈ ਸਚੁ ਸਿਰਜਣਹਾਰਾ ॥(948)
It means that Pandit/ Jyotishi, read the Jyotish Granth a lot but they do not think of any idea of God who created this world. They give no thought to the Parmaatma
ਪੰਡਿਤ ਪੜਦੇ ਜੋਤਿਕੀ ਤਿਨ ਬੂਝ ਨ ਪਾਇ।।(425)
Meaning Pandits kept reading Vedas etc. Astrologers kept reading Jyotish Granth but they did not understand the auspicious qualities of Akal Purakh.
ਆਗਮ ਨਿਰਗਮ ਜੋਤਿਕ ਜਾਨਹਿ ਬਹੁ ਬਹੁ ਬਿਆਕਰਨਾ ॥
ਤੰਤ ਮੰਤ੍ਰ ਸਭ ਅਉਖਧ ਜਾਨਹਿ ਅੰਤਿ ਤਊ ਮਰਨਾ ॥
ਰਾਜ ਭੋਗ ਅਰੁ ਛਤ੍ਰ ਸਿੰਘਾਸਨ ਬਹੁ ਸੁੰਦਰਿ ਰਮਨਾ ॥
ਪਾਨ ਕਪੂਰ ਸੁਬਾਸਕ ਚੰਦਨ ਅੰਤਿ ਤਊ ਮਰਨਾ ॥
ਬੇਦ ਪੁਰਾਨ ਸਿੰਮ੍ਰਿਤਿ ਸਭ ਖੋਜੇ ਕਹੂ ਨ ਊਬਰਨਾ ॥
ਕਹੁ ਕਬੀਰ ਇਉ ਰਾਮਹਿ ਜੰਪਉ ਮੇਟਿ ਜਨਮ ਮਰਨਾ ॥(477)
That means reading all the Vedas Puranas, also understanding the reality of astrology. But all these things did not lead to the good side of life. Believing in these Tantra mantras, living life according to astrology, all these activities do not even teach the way to live the spiritual life. Only a Formless One and the good qualities he imparts bring the dead soul back to life. So, we should only connect with the one Akal Purakh who guides us to the path of salvation.
ਮਨ ਕੀ ਪਤ੍ਰੀ ਵਾਚਣੀ ਸੁਖੀ ਹੂ ਸੁਖੁ ਸਾਰੁ ॥ ਸੋ ਬ੍ਰਾਹਮਣੁ ਭਲਾ ਆਖੀਐ ਜਿ ਬੂਝੈ ਬ੍ਰਹਮੁ ਬੀਚਾਰ।।
ਹਰਿ ਸਾਲਾਹੇ ਹਰਿ ਪੜੈ ਗੁਰ ਕੈ ਸਬਦਿ ਵੀਚਾਰਿ ॥ ਆਇਆ ਓਹੁ ਪਰਵਾਣੁ ਹੈ ਜਿ ਕੁਲ ਕਾ ਕਰੇ ਉਧਾਰੁ।।(1093)
That is to say, to lead one’s mind on the path of virtue is to read the real letter/Patri. The mental bliss that comes from living a virtuous life is not found in any other hypocritical deed. The real scholar is the one who understands about Akal Purakh himself and tells others about the idea of God. Understand Gurbani yourself and walk on the path of Gurmat Gaadi Raah yourself and inspire others to follow the same path.
So, in the end it is a request to release these astrologers. Those who believe in them will have a compulsion. People who believe in them may be trapped in astrology. But Guru Sahib has taken us out of all these slavery by His immense grace. If you want to test any astrologer, ask him how much money you have in your pocket and what notes you have. No one can tell. No one can accurately predict the future. Can these people predict the time of death of anyone? While Gurbani explains:
ਜੰਮਣੁ ਮਰਣਾ ਹੁਕਮੁ ਹੈ ਭਾਣੈ ਆਵੈ ਜਾਇ।।(472)
The birth and death of living beings take place at the Parmaatma’s Hukum.
All of them have just made astrology such a big thing, as to run their own shops. Let’s read Gurbani ourselves and read it with understanding and thinking. Let’s try to follow Gurbani and make our life truthful.
ਡਗਮਗ ਛਾਡਿ ਰੇ ਮਨ ਬਉਰਾ।।(338)
Let us do good deeds wisely, go ahead and get the happiness of Guru Sahib.
ਆਪਣ ਹਥੀ ਆਪਣਾ ਆਪੇ ਹੀ ਕਾਜੁ ਸਵਾਰੀਐ।।(474)
Let’s make our own destiny, get out of the mental slavery of the astrologers, Pandits.
So, let’s leave all these things like stones, horoscopes etc. and live a good life by following the Gurbani. Let go of these Vaastu Shastras, Janam Patriyan, all kinds of superstitions. Let us take the good teachings of Gurbani and start our way on the Gurmat Gaadi Raah. Live a truthful life with good qualities and Guru’s blessings. This is the only Ardaas.

ਜੋਤਿਸ਼ ਇੱਕ ਮਾਨਸਿਕ ਰੋਗ
ਅੱਜ ਦੇ ਯੁੱਗ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੀ ਬਹੁਤ ਲੋਕ ਐਸੇ ਹਨ ਜੋ ਜੋਤਿਸ਼ ਦੇ ਜਕੜਬੰਦ ਵਿੱਚ ਜਕੜੇ ਹੋਏ ਹਨ। ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਤਕਰੀਬਨ ਸਮਾਜ ਦੇ ਹਰੇਕ ਵਰਗ ਦੇ ਲੋਕ ਆਉਂਦੇ ਹਨ । ਭਾਵੇਂ ਕੋਈ ਅਨਪੜ੍ਹ ਹੈ ਜਾਂ ਬਹੁਤ ਪੜੇ ਲਿਖੇ ਹਨ । ਇਸ ਜੰਜਾਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੱਡੇ ਤੋਂ ਲੈਕੇ ਛੋਟੇ ਤੱਕ ਬਹੁਤ ਗਿਣਤੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਲੋਕ ਫਸੇ ਹੋਏ ਹਨ। ਚਾਲਾਕ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਆਮ ਸਮਾਜ ਨੂੰ ਲੁੱਟਕੇ ਖਾਣ ਲਈ ਜਾਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਿੱਛੇ ਲਾਉਣ ਲਈ , ਬਹੁਤ ਤਰੀਕੇ ਪ੍ਰਚਲਿਤ ਕੀਤੇ ਹਨ । ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਸਾਰੇ ਤਰੀਕਿਆਂ ਵਿਚੋਂ ਇਕ ਹੈ ਜੋਤਿਸ਼। ਇਸ ਕੰਮ ਨੂੰ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਨੂੰ ਜੋਤਿਸ਼ੀ ਆਖਿਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ । ਭਾਰਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਤਾਂ ਜੋਤਿਸ਼ ਇੱਕ ਬਹੁਤ ਵੱਡਾ ਵਾਪਾਰ ਹੈ । ਬਹੁਤ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੀ ਕਮਾਈ ਦਾ ਸਾਧਨ ਹੈ। ਇਥੋਂ ਤੱਕ ਕਿ ਜੋਤਿਸ਼ ਦੀ ਵਿੱਦਿਆ ਲੈਣ ਵਾਸਤੇ ਬਾਨਾਰਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਜੋਤਿਸ਼ ਵਿੱਦਿਆ ਨੂੰ ਸਰਕਾਰੀ ਮਾਨਤਾ ਵੀ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਹੈ । ਬਹੁਤ ਲੋਕ ਆਪਣੇ ਬੱਚੇ ਦੇ ਜਨਮ ਸਮੇਂ ਹੀ ਜਨਮ ਕੁੰਡਲੀ ਬਣਵਾਉਂਦੇ ਹਨ । ਇਸ ਕੁੰਡਲੀ ਨੂੰ ਦੇਖਕੇ ਜੋਤਸ਼ੀ ਜੀ ਬੱਚੇ ਦਾ ਭਵਿੱਖ ਦੱਸਣਗੇ ਜਿਵੇਂ ਜਨਮ ਲੈਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਬੱਚਾ/ਬੱਚੀ ਕਿਹੋ ਜਿਹੇ ਸੁਭਾਅ ਵਾਲੇ ਹੋਣਗੇ, ਕਿੰਨੀ ਵਿੱਦਿਆ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕਰਨਗੇ, ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਕਾਰੋਬਾਰ ਕਿਹੋ ਜਿਹਾ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ, ਜਿੰਦਗੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਕਿੰਨੀ ਕੁ ਤਰੱਕੀ ਕਰਨਗੇ । ਵਿਆਹ ਵਕਤ ਬੱਚਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਜਨਮ ਕੁੰਡਲੀ ਆਪਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਮਿਲਾਉਣੀ , ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਕਿੰਨੇ ਗੁਣ ਮਿਲਦੇ ਹਨ । ਇੱਕ ਹੋਰ ਬਹੁਤ ਹਾਸੋਹੀਣੀ ਗੱਲ ਕਿ ਕਿਤੇ ਬੱਚੇ ਮੰਗਲੀਕ ਤਾਂ ਨਹੀਂ । ਇਹ ਵੀ ਜੋਤਿਸ਼ੀ ਜੀ ਦੱਸਣਗੇ ਅਤੇ ਇਸ ਦਾ ਉਪਾਅ ਵੀ ਜੋਤਿਸ਼ੀ ਜੀ ਹੀ ਕਰਨਗੇ । ਵੈਸੇ ਮੈਂ ਇਥੇ ਨਾਲ ਹੀ ਸਪੱਸ਼ਟ ਕਰ ਦਿਆਂ ਕਿ ਮੰਗਲੀਕ ਦਾ ਮਤਲਬ ਕੁਲਹਿਣਾ/ਕੁਲਹਿਣੀ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ । ਹੁਣ ਪੁਜਾਰੀ ਮਤਲਬ ਜੋਤਸ਼ੀ ਚਾਲਾਕ ਹੈ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਸੋਚਿਆ ਕਿ ਜੇ ਕਿਸੇ ਦੇ ਧੀ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਨੂੰ ਕੁਲਹਿਣਾ ਕਿਹਾ ਤਾਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਗਲ ਪੈ ਜਾਣਾ । ਸੋ ਜੋਤਸ਼ੀ ਨੇ ਇਹ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਮੰਗਲੀਕ ਵਿੱਚ ਤਬਦੀਲ ਕਰ ਲਿਆ। ਅੱਜ ਅਸੀਂ ਇੱਕ ਤਾਂ ਜੋਤਸ਼ੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਪੈਸੇ ਦਿੰਦੇ ਹਾਂ ਦੂਸਰੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਬੱਚਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਕੁਲਹਿਣਾ ਅਖਵਾਉਂਦੇ ਹਾਂ । ਵਿਆਹ ਵਕਤ ਮਹੂਰਤ ਵੀ ਜਰੂਰ ਕਢਵਾਉਦੇ ਹਾਂ। ਸੋਚਣ ਵਾਲੀ ਗੱਲ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਬੱਚੇ ਸਾਡੇ, ਵਿਆਹ ਅਸੀਂ ਕਰਨਾ। ਇਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਪੰਡਿਤ/ ਜੋਤਸ਼ੀ ਨੂੰ ਪੁੱਛਣ ਦੀ ਕੀ ਲੋੜ ਹੈ। ਦੋਵੇਂ ਧਿਰਾਂ ਆਪਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਬੈਠ ਜਾਉ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਵੀ ਦਿਨ suit ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ ਉਸ ਦਿਨ ਵਿਆਹ ਕਰ ਦਿਉ । ਮਕਾਨ ਬਨਾਉਣ ਲੱਗੇ ਵੀ ਵਾਸਤੂ ਸ਼ਾਸ਼ਤਰ ਵਾਲਾ ਹਿਸਾਬ ਕਿਤਾਬ ਜਰੂਰ ਲਗਾਉਂਦੇ ਹਨ। ਪੈਸੇ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਖਰਚੇ , ਮਕਾਨ ਤੁਹਾਡਾ, ਰਹਿਣਾ ਤੁਸੀਂ। ਵਾਸਤੂ ਸ਼ਾਸ਼ਤਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਕਿਥੋਂ ਆ ਗਿਆ। ਇਹ ਸਭ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਸਿਰਫ ਇੱਕ ਮਾਨਸਿਕ ਤੌਰ ਤੇ ਰੋਗੀ ਹੀ ਬਨਾਉਦੀਆ ਹਨ ਹੋਰ ਕੁੱਝ ਵੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ । ਹੋਰ ਵੀ ਇਕ ਗੱਲ ਹੈ ਕਈ ਲੋਕ ਜੋਤਸ਼ੀ ਕੋਲੋਂ ਇਹ ਵੀ ਪੁਛਣ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ ਕਿ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਕੋਈ ਬੀਮਾਰੀ ਤਾਂ ਨਹੀਂ ਲੱਗੇਗੀ। ਦੱਸੋ! ਜੋਤਸ਼ੀ ਕਿਤੇ ਡਾਕਟਰੀ ਪਾਸ ਹੈ। ਜੇ ਸਰੀਰ ਨੂੰ ਕੋਈ ਤਕਲੀਫ ਮਹਿਸੂਸ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਹੈ ਤਾਂ ਕਿਸੇ ਮਾਹਿਰ ਡਾਕਟਰ ਕੋਲ ਜਾਕੇ ਇਲਾਜ ਕਰਵਾਉ । ਪਰ ਸਾਡੇ ਸਮਾਜ ਦਾ ਬਹੁਤ ਹਿੱਸਾ ਜੋਤਸ਼ੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਮਕੜਜਾਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਫਸਿਆ ਪਿਆ ਹੈ।
ਇਹ ਤਾਂ ਆਮ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੀ ਗੱਲ ਹੈ। ਪਰ ਸਾਡੇ ਤਾਂ ਵੱਡੇ ਵੱਡੇ ਰਾਜਨੀਤਕ ਨੇਤਾ ਵੀ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੀ ਪਕੜ ਵਿਚੋਂ ਬਾਹਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਹਨ। ਇਥੋਂ ਤੱਕ ਕਿ ਜਦੋਂ 2004 ਵਿੱਚ ਡਾਕਟਰ ਮਨਮੋਹਨ ਸਿੰਘ ਜੀ ਭਾਰਤ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਬਣੇ ਸਨ ਤਾਂ ਵੱਡੇ ਵੱਡੇ ਜੋਤਸ਼ੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਤੋਤੇ ਉਡ ਗਏ ਸਨ । ਇਸ ਬਾਰੇ ਤਾਂ ਜੋਤਸ਼ੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਕਦੇ ਸੋਚਿਆ ਹੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਸੀ । ਜੇ ਭਲਾ ਇਹ ਲੋਕ ਏਨਾ ਹੀ ਭਵਿੱਖ ਦੇਖ ਸਕਦੇ ਹੋਣ ਤਾਂ ਫਿਰ ਦੇਸ਼ ਦੀਆਂ ਸਰਹੱਦਾਂ ਤੇ ਆਰਮੀ ਜਵਾਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮਰਵਾਉਣ ਦੀ ਕੀ ਲੋੜ ਹੈ । ਜੋਤਸ਼ੀ, ਜੋਤਿਸ਼ ਲਗਾਕੇ ਦੱਸ ਦਿਆ ਕਰਨ ਕਿ ਦੇਸ਼ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਹੜਾ ਖਤਰਾ ਕਦੋਂ ਹੋਣਾ ਹੈ। ਜਾ ਹਿਸਾਬ ਕਿਤਾਬ ਲਗਾਕੇ ਦੱਸਣ ਕਿ ਦੇਸ਼ ਦਾ ਪੈਸਾ ਕਿਹੜੇ ਕਿਹੜੇ ਵਿਦੇਸ਼ੀ ਬੈਂਕਾਂ ਕੋਲ ਪਿਆ ਹੈ । ਹੋਰ ਤਾਂ ਹੋਰ ਪਿਛਲੇ ਦੋ ਸਾਲ ਤੋਂ ਸਾਰੀ ਦੁਨੀਆਂ ਕਰੋਨਾ ਵਰਗੀ ਬੀਮਾਰੀ ਨਾਲ ਬੇਹਾਲ ਹੋਈ ਪਈ ਹੈ । ਕਿੰਨੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੇ ਕੰਮਕਾਜ ਠੱਪ ਹੋ ਗਏ, ਕਿੰਨੇ ਘਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਜੀਅ ਇਸ ਸੰਸਾਰ ਤੋਂ ਚਲੇ ਗਏ। ਇਸ ਦਾ ਤਾਂ ਕੋਈ ਉਪਾਅ ਇਹ ਲੋਕ ਕਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਕੇ। ਸਾਡੇ ਕਈ ਨਾਮੀ ਖਿਡਾਰੀ ਵੀ ਜੋਤਸ਼ੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਜਾਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਬੰਨੇ ਪਏ ਹਨ । ਮੈਚ ਖੇਡਣ ਤੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਜੋਤਿਸ਼ ਲਵਾਇਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਅਸੀਂ ਜਿੱਤਾਂਗੇ ਜਾ ਨਹੀਂ । ਆਪਣੀ ਮਾਨਸਿਕਤਾ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਹੀ ਕਮਜੋਰ ਕਰ ਲਈ ਜਾਦੀ ਹੈ।
ਕੁੱਝ ਲੋਕ ਜੋਤਸ਼ੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਮਗਰ ਲੱਗਕੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਹੱਥਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਉਂਗਲਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਨਗ ਪਹਿਨ ਲੈਂਦੇ ਹਨ। ਇਹ ਕਿੰਨੀ ਮੂਰਖਤਾ ਵਾਲੀ ਗੱਲ ਹੈ। ਭਲਾ ਉਂਗਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਾਇਆ ਨਗ ਕੀ ਸੰਵਾਰ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ। ਕੰਮ ਤਾਂ ਉੱਦਮ ਕਰਨ ਨਾਲ ਸੰਪੂਰਨ ਹੋਣੇ ਹਨ। ਜੇ ਨਗ ਪਾਉਣ ਨਾਲ ਕੰਮ ਬਣਦੇ ਹੋਣ ਤਾਂ ਫਿਰ ਸਾਰੀ ਦੁਨੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਹੀ ਨਗ ਪਵਾ ਦਿੱਤੇ ਜਾਣ ਤਾਂ ਕਿ ਦੁਨੀਆਂ ਵਿਚੋਂ ਸਾਰੇ ਝਗੜੇ, ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਬੀਮਾਰੀਆਂ ਸਦਾ ਵਾਸਤੇ ਦੂਰ ਹੋ ਜਾਣ। ਕਈ ਲੋਕ ਉਹ ਵੀ ਹਨ ਜੋ ਸਵੇਰੇ ਅਖਬਾਰ ਹੀ ਤਾਂ ਪੜਦੇ ਹਨ ਕਿ ਰਾਸ਼ੀਫਲ ਦੇਖ ਲੈਣ ਕਿ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਦਿਨ ਕਿਵੇਂ ਦਾ ਬੀਤੇਗਾ। ਇਹ ਸਭ ਕਮਜੋਰ ਮਾਨਸਿਕਤਾ ਦੀਆਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਹਨ। ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਅਸਲੀਅਤ ਕੁੱਝ ਵੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ।
ਇੱਕ ਹੋਰ ਵੀ ਗੱਲ ਸੋਚਣ ਵਾਲੀ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਦੁਨੀਆ ਦਾ ਕੋਈ ਵੀ ਜੋਤਸ਼ੀ ਜਨਮ ਦਾ ਅਤੇ ਮੌਤ ਦਾ ਬਿਲਕੁਲ ਠੀਕ ਸਮਾਂ ਕਦੀ ਵੀ ਦੱਸ ਹੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਕਦੇ । ਜਨਮ ਕੁੰਡਲੀ ਵੀ ਸਿਰਫ ਸਾਡੇ ਦੱਸੇ ਸਮੇਂ ਮੁਤਾਬਕ ਹੀ ਬਣਾਉਂਦੇ ਹਨ । ਇਹ ਵੀ ਗੱਲ ਹਮੇਸ਼ਾ ਯਾਦ ਰੱਖਣੀ ਚਾਹੀਦੀ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਘੜੀਆਂ ਦਾ ਵੀ ਕਈ ਵਾਰ ਆਪਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਟਾਈਮ ਦਾ ਫਰਕ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਇਹ ਲੋਕ ਤਾਂ ਆਪਣੀ ਚਾਲਾਕੀ ਨਾਲ ਸਿਰਫ ਆਪਣਾ ਰੋਟੀ ਪਾਣੀ ਚਲਾ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ ਬਾਕੀ ਤਾਂ ਸਭ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਤੀਰ ਤੁੱਕੇ ਹੀ ਹਨ ।
ਪਰ ਬਲਿਹਾਰ ਜਾਈਏ ਗੁਰੂ ਸਾਹਿਬਾਨ ਜੀ ਦੇ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਗੁਰਬਾਣੀ ਦਾ ਮਹਾਨ ਖਜਾਨਾ ਬਖਸ਼ਿਸ਼ ਕੀਤਾ । ਸਾਡੀ ਸੋਚ ਵਿਕਸਿਤ ਕੀਤੀ ਅਤੇ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਜਕੜਬੰਦ ਵਿਚੋਂ ਨਿਕਲਣ ਦਾ ਸੁੱਚਜਾ ਰਾਹ ਦੱਸਿਆ। ਆਉ ਹੁਣ ਜੋਤਿਸ਼ ਬਾਰੇ ਗੁਰਬਾਣੀ ਤੋਂ ਸੇਧ ਲਈਏ :
ਪੰਡਿਤ ਪਾਧੇ ਜੋਇਸੀ ਨਿਤ ਪੜ੍ਹਹਿ ਪੁਰਾਣਾ ॥
ਅੰਤਰਿ ਵਸਤੁ ਨ ਜਾਣਨੀ ਘਟਿ ਬ੍ਰਹਮੁ ਲੁਕਾਣਾ ॥(419)
ਭਾਵ ਕਿ ਪੰਡਿਤ ਪਾਂਧੇ, ਜੋਤਸ਼ੀ , ਪੁਰਾਣ ਆਦਿ ਗ੍ਰੰਥ ਤਾਂ ਬਹੁਤ ਪੜਦੇ ਹਨ । ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਵਿਚਲੇ ਜੋਤਸ਼ੀ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦਾ ਭਵਿੱਖ ਦੱਸਣ ਦਾ ਦਾਅਵਾ ਵੀ ਬਹੁਤ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ ਪਰ ਆਪਣੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੱਸਦੇ ਨਿੰਰਕਾਰ ਬਾਰੇ ਤਾਂ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਕੋਈ ਗਿਆਨ ਨਹੀਂ। ਆਪਣੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਦਾ ਪਤਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਤੇ ਦੂਜਿਆਂ ਦਾ ਭਵਿੱਖ ਕੀ ਦੱਸਣਗੇ ।
ਗਣਿ ਗਣਿ ਜੋਤਕੁ ਕਾਂਡੀ ਕੀਨੀ ॥
ਪੜੈ ਸੁਣਾਵੈ ਤਤੁ ਨ ਚੀਨੀ ॥
ਸਭਸੈ ਊਪਰਿ ਗੁਰ ਸਬਦੁ ਬੀਚਾਰੁ ॥
ਹੋਰ ਕਥਨੀ ਬਦਉ ਨ ਸਗਲੀ ਛਾਰੁ।।(904)
ਭਾਵ ਕਿ ਜੋਤਸ਼ੀ , ਜੋਤਿਸ਼ ਗ੍ਰੰਥ ਮੁਤਾਬਕ ਜਨਮ ਪਤਰੀ ਦੇ 12 ਕਾਂਡ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪੜਕੇ ਸੁਣਾਉਂਦੇ ਹਨ। ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਜੁਗਤਾਂ ਦੱਸਦੇ ਹਨ ਪਰ ਜੋਤਿਸ਼ ਲਾਉਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਨੂੰ ਆਪ ਇਹ ਪਤਾ ਹੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਿ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਉਪਰ ਤਾਂ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ , ਸੱਚ ਦੀ ਵੀਚਾਰ ਹੈ। ਸ਼ੁਭ ਗੁਣਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾਂ ਸਭ ਜੁਗਤਾਂ ਵਿਅਰਥ ਹਨ ।
ਪੰਡਿਤ ਪੜਦੇ ਜੋਤਕੀ ਨਾ ਬੂਝਹਿ ਬੀਚਾਰਾ ॥
ਸਭੁ ਕਿਛੁ ਤੇਰਾ ਖੇਲੁ ਹੈ ਸਚੁ ਸਿਰਜਣਹਾਰਾ ॥(948)
ਭਾਵ ਕਿ ਪੰਡਿਤ ਜੋਤਸ਼ੀ ਆਦਿਕ ਜੋਤਿਸ਼ ਆਦਿ ਗ੍ਰੰਥ ਤਾਂ ਬਹੁਤ ਪੜਦੇ ਹਨ ਪਰ ਇਸ ਜਗਤ ਨੂੰ ਬਨਾਉਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਪ੍ਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਕੋਈ ਵੀਚਾਰ , ਵੀਚਾਰਦੇ ਹੀ ਨਹੀਂ। ਜੋ ਸਿਰਜਣਹਾਰ ਹੈ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਕੋਈ ਵੀਚਾਰ ਹੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰਦੇ।
ਪੰਡਿਤ ਪੜਦੇ ਜੋਤਿਕੀ ਤਿਨ ਬੂਝ ਨ ਪਾਇ।।(425)
ਭਾਵ ਕਿ ਪੰਡਿਤ ਲੋਕ ਵੇਦ ਸ਼ਾਸ਼ਤਰ ਆਦਿ ਪੜਦੇ ਰਹੇ। ਜੋਤਸ਼ੀ, ਜੋਤਿਸ਼ ਗ੍ਰੰਥ ਪੜਦੇ ਰਹੇ ਪਰ ਅਕਾਲ ਪੁਰਖ ਦੇ ਸ਼ੁਭ ਗੁਣਾਂ ਦੀ ਸੂਝ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਈ ਹੀ ਨਹੀਂ।
ਆਗਮ ਨਿਰਗਮ ਜੋਤਿਕ ਜਾਨਹਿ ਬਹੁ ਬਹੁ ਬਿਆਕਰਨਾ ॥
ਤੰਤ ਮੰਤ੍ਰ ਸਭ ਅਉਖਧ ਜਾਨਹਿ ਅੰਤਿ ਤਊ ਮਰਨਾ ॥
ਰਾਜ ਭੋਗ ਅਰੁ ਛਤ੍ਰ ਸਿੰਘਾਸਨ ਬਹੁ ਸੁੰਦਰਿ ਰਮਨਾ ॥
ਪਾਨ ਕਪੂਰ ਸੁਬਾਸਕ ਚੰਦਨ ਅੰਤਿ ਤਊ ਮਰਨਾ ॥
ਬੇਦ ਪੁਰਾਨ ਸਿੰਮ੍ਰਿਤਿ ਸਭ ਖੋਜੇ ਕਹੂ ਨ ਊਬਰਨਾ ॥
ਕਹੁ ਕਬੀਰ ਇਉ ਰਾਮਹਿ ਜੰਪਉ ਮੇਟਿ ਜਨਮ ਮਰਨਾ ॥(477)
ਭਾਵ ਕਿ ਸਾਰੇ ਵੇਦ ਪੁਰਾਣ ਵੀ ਪੜ ਲਏ, ਜੋਤਿਸ਼ ਦੀ ਅਸਲੀਅਤ ਵੀ ਸਮਝ ਲਈ। ਪਰ ਇਹ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਚੀਜਾਂ ਜਿੰਦਗੀ ਨੂੰ ਸ਼ੁਭ ਗੁਣਾਂ ਵਾਲੇ ਪਾਸੇ ਤਾਂ ਤੋਰ ਹੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਕੀਆਂ। ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਤੰਤਰ ਮੰਤਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮੰਨਣ ਵਾਲੇ, ਜੋਤਿਸ਼ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਜੀਵਨ ਜੀਊਣ ਵਾਲੇ , ਇਹ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਕਿ੍ਆਵਾਂ ਆਤਮਿਕ ਜੀਵਨ ਜੀਊਣ ਦਾ ਤਰੀਕਾ ਤਾਂ ਸਿਖਾਉਂਦੀਆ ਹੀ ਨਹੀਂ। ਕੇਵਲ ਇੱਕ ਨਿੰਰਕਾਰ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਦੱਸੇ ਹੋਏ ਸ਼ੁਭ ਗੁਣ ਹੀ ਮੁਰਦਾ ਆਤਮਾ ਨੂੰ ਜੀਊਦਾ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ। ਸੋ ਉਸ ਇੱਕ ਅਕਾਲ ਪੁਰਖ ਨਾਲ ਹੀ ਜੁੜਨਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਜੀਊਦੇ ਜੀਅ ਮੁਕਤੀ ਦਾ ਰਸਤਾ ਦੱਸਦੇ ਹਨ।
ਮਨ ਕੀ ਪਤ੍ਰੀ ਵਾਚਣੀ ਸੁਖੀ ਹੂ ਸੁਖੁ ਸਾਰੁ ॥ ਸੋ ਬ੍ਰਾਹਮਣੁ ਭਲਾ ਆਖੀਐ ਜਿ ਬੂਝੈ ਬ੍ਰਹਮੁ ਬੀਚਾਰ।।
ਹਰਿ ਸਾਲਾਹੇ ਹਰਿ ਪੜੈ ਗੁਰ ਕੈ ਸਬਦਿ ਵੀਚਾਰਿ ॥ ਆਇਆ ਓਹੁ ਪਰਵਾਣੁ ਹੈ ਜਿ ਕੁਲ ਕਾ ਕਰੇ ਉਧਾਰੁ।।(1093)
ਭਾਵ ਕਿ ਆਪਣੇ ਮਨ ਨੂੰ ਨੇਕੀ ਵਾਲੇ ਰਾਹ ਤੇ ਤੋਰਨਾ ਹੀ ਅਸਲੀ ਪਤਰੀ ਵਾਚਣੀ ਹੈ। ਨੇਕ ਜੀਵਨ ਜੀਊਦਿਆ ਜੋ ਮਾਨਸਿਕ ਸੁੱਖ ਮਿਲਦਾ ਹੈ ਉਹ ਹੋਰ ਕਿਸੇ ਵੀ ਪਖੰਡ ਕਰਮ ਨਾਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਮਿਲਦਾ। ਅਸਲ ਵਿਦਵਾਨ ਉਹ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਆਪ ਅਕਾਲ ਪੁਰਖ ਬਾਰੇ ਸਮਝ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਦੂਸਰੇ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਵੀਚਾਰ ਬਾਰੇ ਦੱਸਦਾ ਹੈ। ਗੁਰਬਾਣੀ ਨੂੰ ਆਪ ਸਮਝੋ ਗੁਰਮਤ ਗਾਡੀ ਰਾਹ ਤੇ ਖੁਦ ਚਲੋ ਅਤੇ ਦੂਸਰਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਉਸ ਰਾਹ ਤੇ ਚੱਲਣ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰੇਰਨਾ ਕਰੋ।
ਸੋ ਆਖਿਰ ਤੇ ਇਹ ਬੇਨਤੀ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਜੋਤਸ਼ੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਛੱਡੀਏ । ਜੋ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮੰਨਦੇ ਹਨ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਕੋਈ ਮਜਬੂਰੀ ਹੋਵੇਗੀ। ਹੋ ਸਕਦਾ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮੰਨਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਲੋਕ ਜੋਤਿਸ਼ ਦੀ ਗੁਲਾਮੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਫਸੇ ਹੋਣ। ਪਰ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਤਾਂ ਗੁਰੂ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਨੇ ਅਪਾਰ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਕਰਕੇ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਗੁਲਾਮੀਆ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਹਰ ਕੱਢਿਆ ਹੈ। ਕਿਸੇ ਵੀ ਜੋਤਸ਼ੀ ਨੂੰ ਅਜਮਾਉਣਾ ਹੋਵੇ ਤਾਂ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਪੁੱਛੋ ਕਿ ਦੱਸ ਮੇਰੀ ਜੇਬ ਵਿੱਚ ਕਿੰਨੇ ਪੈਸੇ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਕਿਹੜੇ ਕਿਹੜੇ ਨੋਟ ਹਨ। ਕੋਈ ਦੱਸ ਹੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਕਦਾ। ਕੋਈ ਆਉਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਸਮੇਂ ਬਾਰੇ ਸਹੀ ਸਹੀ ਦੱਸ ਹੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਕਦਾ। ਕੀ ਇਹ ਲੋਕ ਦੱਸ ਸਕਦੇ ਹਨ ਕਿ ਕਿਸੇ ਦੀ ਵੀ ਮੌਤ ਦਾ ਸਮਾ ਕੀ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ। ਜਦੋਂ ਕਿ ਗੁਰਬਾਣੀ ਤਾਂ ਸਮਝਾਉਦੀ ਹੈ
ਜੰਮਣੁ ਮਰਣਾ ਹੁਕਮੁ ਹੈ ਭਾਣੈ ਆਵੈ ਜਾਇ।।(472)
ਜੀਵਾਂ ਦਾ ਜਨਮ ਅਤੇ ਮਰਣਾ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਹੁਕਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਸਭ ਨੇ ਸਿਰਫ ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਦੁਕਾਨਦਾਰੀਆਂ ਚਲਾ ਰੱਖੀਆਂ ਹਨ।ਆਉ ਗੁਰਬਾਣੀ ਆਪ ਪੜੀਏ ਅਤੇ ਸਮਝਕੇ, ਵੀਚਾਰਕੇ ਪੜੀਏ। ਗੁਰਬਾਣੀ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਚੱਲਣ ਦੀ ਕੋਸਿਸ ਕਰੀਏ। ਆਪਣੇ ਜੀਵਨ ਨੂੰ ਸਚਿਆਰਾ ਬਣਾਈਏ।
ਡਗਮਗ ਛਾਡਿ ਰੇ ਮਨ ਬਉਰਾ।।(338)
ਸਿਆਣਪ ਨਾਲ ਸ਼ੁਭ ਉਦਮ ਕਰਦੇ ਜਾਈਏ , ਅੱਗੇ ਵਧਦੇ ਜਾਈਏ ਅਤੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਦੀਆਂ ਖੁਸ਼ੀਆਂ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕਰੀਏ।
ਆਪਣ ਹਥੀ ਆਪਣਾ ਆਪੇ ਹੀ ਕਾਜੁ ਸਵਾਰੀਐ।।(474)
ਆਪਣੀ ਕਿਸਮਤ ਆਪ ਬਣਾਈਏ, ਜੋਤਸ਼ੀਆਂ, ਪਾਂਧਿਆ ਦੀ ਮਾਨਸਿਕ ਗੁਲਾਮੀ ਵਿਚੋਂ ਬਾਹਰ ਨਿਕਲੀਏ।
ਸੋ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਸਾਰੇ ਨਗਾਂ ਦਾ , ਰਾਸ਼ੀਫਲ ਆਦਿ ਦਾ ਪਿੱਛਾ ਛੱਡੀਏ ਅਤੇ ਗੁਰਬਾਣੀ ਦੇ ਲੜ ਲੱਗਕੇ ਸੁਚੱਜੀ ਜਿੰਦਗੀ ਜੀਵੀਏ। ਛੱਡੀਏ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਵਾਸਤੂ ਸ਼ਾਸ਼ਤਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ, ਜਨਮ ਪੱਤਰੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ, ਹਰ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਵਹਿਮ ਭਰਮ ਨੂੰ। ਗੁਰਬਾਣੀ ਦੀ ਸ਼ੁਭ ਸਿੱਖਿਆ ਲੈਕੇ ਗੁਰਮਤ ਗਾਡੀ ਰਾਹ ਦੇ ਰਾਹੀ ਬਣੀਏ। ਸ਼ੁਭ ਗੁਣਾਂ ਵਾਲਾ ਅਤੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਬਖਸ਼ਿਸ਼ ਵਾਲਾ ਸਚਿਆਰਾ ਜੀਵਨ ਜੀਵੀਏ। ਇਹੋ ਹੀ ਅਰਦਾਸ ਹੈ।
