Why do Sikhs have more faith in SAKHIS than in GURBANI?

ਹਰਿ ਕੇ ਸੰਤ ਸੁਣਹੁ ਜਨ ਭਾਈ ਹਰਿ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਕੀ ਇਕ ਸਾਖੀ। (87)
Meaning, O Sant Jan Beloved of God, listen to the teachings of your SatGuru, ie follow the teachings of SatGuru.

ਸੁਣਿ ਸਾਖੀ ਮਨ ਜਪਿ ਪਿਆਰ ।। (1192)
O my mind, listen carefully to the Guru’s teachings and try to follow that teaching with love.
ਗੁਰ ਸਾਖੀ ਜੋਤਿ ਪਰਗਟੁ ਹੋਇ।।
That is, it is through the Guru’s teachings that the virtues are enlightened within.

But we don’t even read these precious words of Gurbani. We have come to like fabricated crude stories more and more because it doesn’t take much brain to understand them. But it also takes time to read, listen and understand Gurbani and We also have to use our brain. But today we don’t have time to read Gurbani and think about it with love. If the sakhi is historical then it gives us good guidance then it is very good but if it is glassy then it is better not to hear such sakhi.

ਆਪ ਜੀ ਦੀ ਗੱਲ ਬਿਲਕੁਲ ਠੀਕ ਹੈ।ਅਸੀਂ ਸਾਖੀਆਂ ਜਿਆਦਾ ਧਿਆਨ ਨਾਲ ਸੁਣਦੇ ਹਾਂ।ਵੈਸੇ ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਇਤਿਹਾਸ ਅੱਖੀਂ ਦੇਖਿਆ ਹੋਵੇ ਅਤੇ ਜਿਸ ਤੋਂ ਅਸੀਂ ਸਿੱਖਿਆ ਲਈਏ ਉਹ ਸਾਖੀ ਹੈ।ਜਿਵੇਂ
ਹਰਿ ਕੇ ਸੰਤ ਸੁਣਹੁ ਜਨ ਭਾਈ ਹਰਿ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਕੀ ਇਕ ਸਾਖੀ।।(87)
ਭਾਵ ਕਿ ਹੇ ਹਰੀ ਦੇ ਸੰਤ ਜਨ ਪਿਆਰਿਓ ਆਪਣੇ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਸਿੱਖਿਆ ਸੁਣੋ ਭਾਵ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਸਿੱਖਿਆ ਤੇ ਚਲੋ।

ਸੁਣਿ ਸਾਖੀ ਮਨ ਜਪਿ ਪਿਆਰ।।(1192)
ਹੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਮਨ, ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਸਿੱਖਿਆ ਧਿਆਨ ਨਾਲ ਸੁਣ ਅਤੇ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਨਾਲ ਉਸ ਸਿੱਖਿਆ ਤੇ ਚੱਲਣ ਦੀ ਕੋਸ਼ਿਸ਼ ਕਰ।
ਗੁਰ ਸਾਖੀ ਜੋਤਿ ਪਰਗਟੁ ਹੋਇ।।
ਭਾਵ ਕਿ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਸਿੱਖਿਆ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਹੀ ਅੰਦਰ ਗੁਣਾਂ ਦਾ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਸ਼ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ।

ਪਰ ਅਸੀਂ ਗੁਰਬਾਣੀ ਦੇ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਬੇਸ਼ਕੀਮਤੀ ਸ਼ਬਦਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪੜਦੇ ਹੀ ਨਹੀਂ।ਅਸੀਂ ਮਨਘੜਤ ਕੱਚੀਆਂ ਕਹਾਣੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਜਿਆਦਾ ਪਸੰਦ ਕਰਨ ਲੱਗ ਪਏ ਹਾਂ ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਮਝਣ ਲਈ ਕੋਈ ਬਹੁਤਾ ਦਿਮਾਗ ਨਹੀਂ ਲਾਉਣਾ ਪੈਂਦਾ।ਪਰ ਗੁਰਬਾਣੀ ਪੜ੍ਹਨ ਲਈ, ਸੁਣਨ ਲਈ ਅਤੇ ਸਮਝਣ ਲਈ ਸਮਾਂ ਵੀ ਲੱਗਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਦਿਮਾਗ ਦੀ ਵਰਤੋਂ ਵੀ ਕਰਨੀ ਪੈਂਦੀ ਹੈ।ਪਰ ਅੱਜ ਸਾਡੇ ਕੋਲ ਸਮਾਂ ਹੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਜੋ ਅਸੀਂ ਗੁਰਬਾਣੀ ਨੂੰ ਪਿਆਰ ਨਾਲ ਪੜਕੇ ਵੀਚਾਰ ਸਕੀਏ।ਜੇ ਤਾਂ ਸਾਖੀ ਇਤਿਹਾਸਕ ਹੈ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਚੰਗੀ ਸੇਧ ਦਿੰਦੀ ਹੈ ਫਿਰ ਤਾਂ ਬਹੁਤ ਵਧੀਆ ਪਰ ਜੇ ਕੱਚਘਰੜ ਹੈ ਫਿਰ ਤਾਂ ਅਜਿਹੀ ਸਾਖੀ ਨਾ ਹੀ ਸੁਣੀ ਜਾਵੇ ਤਾਂ ਬਿਹਤਰ ਹੈ ਜੀ।
