Preet ji, respected learned brother Kandola Sahib has given a very appropriate and good reply to your question. The undersigned wants to add that the Sikhs are required to cover their head and bow before Guru Granth Sahib, ordained as ever living Guru by Tenth Guru Person, Guru Gobind Singh Sahib at Nanded in October, 1708.
Preetji there is only one way to show reverence to SGGSJI is to read, listen, understand , internalize and live the wisdom and teachings of GURU.
