      Please click on the link below and read Sikh Rehat Maryada in Punjabi or English:-

      https://sgpc.net/?page_id=653

      You can observe from page 24 that it speaks about widow or widower but not about divorcee.

      I believe in Sikhism, there are no specific provisions that prohibit Sikh men from marrying widowed, divorced, non-virgin, or rape victim women. Sikh teachings emphasize equality, compassion, and justice for all individuals. The Guru Granth Sahib, the central religious scripture of Sikhism, does not explicitly address these specific scenarios but underscores the importance of treating everyone with respect and dignity.

      Sikhism promotes marriages based on mutual love, understanding, and shared values, prioritizing character and righteousness over past experiences or circumstances. It’s essential to approach relationships with empathy and compassion.

        Jasmeet Kaur ji, you have very well summarised the teachings of Guru Granth Sahib and in the following stanza Guru Sahib speaks very high about the females and guides that since without the females procreation is not possible, therefore, it is not right to call or treat them as inferior than males:-

        ਮਃ ੧ ॥ ਭੰਡਿ ਜੰਮੀਐ ਭੰਡਿ ਨਿੰਮੀਐ ਭੰਡਿ ਮੰਗਣੁ ਵੀਆਹੁ ॥ ਭੰਡਹੁ ਹੋਵੈ ਦੋਸਤੀ ਭੰਡਹੁ ਚਲੈ ਰਾਹੁ ॥ ਭੰਡੁ ਮੁਆ ਭੰਡੁ ਭਾਲੀਐ ਭੰਡਿ ਹੋਵੈ ਬੰਧਾਨੁ ॥ ਸੋ ਕਿਉ ਮੰਦਾ ਆਖੀਐ ਜਿਤੁ ਜੰਮਹਿ ਰਾਜਾਨ ॥ ਭੰਡਹੁ ਹੀ ਭੰਡੁ ਊਪਜੈ ਭੰਡੈ ਬਾਝੁ ਨ ਕੋਇ ॥ ਨਾਨਕ ਭੰਡੈ ਬਾਹਰਾ ਏਕੋ ਸਚਾ ਸੋਇ ॥ ਜਿਤੁ ਮੁਖਿ ਸਦਾ ਸਾਲਾਹੀਐ ਭਾਗਾ ਰਤੀ ਚਾਰਿ ॥ ਨਾਨਕ ਤੇ ਮੁਖ ਊਜਲੇ ਤਿਤੁ ਸਚੈ ਦਰਬਾਰਿ ॥੨॥ {ਪੰਨਾ 473}

        ਅਰਥ: ਇਸਤ੍ਰੀ ਤੋਂ ਜਨਮ ਲਈਦਾ ਹੈ, ਇਸਤ੍ਰੀ (ਦੇ ਪੇਟ) ਵਿਚ ਹੀ ਪ੍ਰਾਣੀ ਦਾ ਸਰੀਰ ਬਣਦਾ ਹੈ। ਇਸਤ੍ਰੀ ਦੀ (ਹੀ) ਰਾਹੀਂ ਕੁੜਮਾਈ ਤੇ ਵਿਆਹ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਇਸਤ੍ਰੀ ਦੀ ਰਾਹੀਂ (ਹੋਰ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨਾਲ) ਸੰਬੰਧ ਬਣਦਾ ਹੈ। ਤੇ ਇਸਤ੍ਰੀ ਤੋਂ ਹੀ (ਜਗਤ ਦੀ ਉਤਪੱਤੀ ਦਾ) ਰਸਤਾ ਚੱਲਦਾ ਹੈ। ਜੇ ਇਸਤ੍ਰੀ ਮਰ ਜਾਏ ਤਾਂ ਹੋਰ ਇਸਤ੍ਰੀ ਦੀ ਭਾਲ ਕਰੀਦੀ ਹੈ, ਇਸਤ੍ਰੀ ਤੋਂ ਹੀ (ਹੋਰਨਾਂ ਨਾਲ) ਰਿਸ਼ਤੇਦਾਰੀ ਬਣਦੀ ਹੈ। ਜਿਸ ਇਸਤ੍ਰੀ (ਜਾਤੀ) ਤੋਂ ਰਾਜੇ (ਭੀ) ਜੰਮਦੇ ਹਨ, ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਮੰਦਾ ਆਖਣਾ ਠੀਕ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ। ਇਸਤ੍ਰੀ ਤੋਂ ਹੀ ਇਸਤ੍ਰੀ ਪੈਦਾ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਹੈ (ਜਗਤ ਵਿਚ) ਕੋਈ ਜੀਵ ਇਸਤ੍ਰੀ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾ ਪੈਦਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋ ਸਕਦਾ। ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਕੇਵਲ ਇਕ ਸੱਚਾ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਹੀ ਹੈ, ਜੋ ਇਸਤ੍ਰੀ ਤੋਂ ਨਹੀਂ ਜੰਮਿਆ। (ਭਾਵੇਂ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਹੋਵੇ, ਭਾਵੇਂ ਇਸਤ੍ਰੀ, ਜੋ ਭੀ) ਆਪਣੇ ਮੂੰਹ ਨਾਲ ਸਦਾ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਦੇ ਮੱਥੇ ਉੱੱਤੇ ਭਾਗਾਂ ਦੀ ਮਣੀ ਹੈ, ਭਾਵ ਉਹਦਾ ਮੱਥਾ ਭਾਗਾਂ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈ। ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਉਹੀ ਮੁਖ ਉਸੇ ਸੱਚੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਦਰਬਾਰ ਵਿਚ ਸੋਹਣੇ ਲੱਗਦੇ ਹਨ।2।

        However, what should be done about the stereotypes in Sikhism, who treat the widows, widowers and divorcees, as persons with a stigma. The thought process is changing but the progress is very slow.

      I think this article is nonsense.
      it applies to one individual not all the Sikh women who are divorced.
      instead of publishing an article go out of Hounslow & travel the world even to meet to future husband.
      I personally know friends and family ( women ) who remarried be divorcees.
      Being Sikh has nothing to do with this.
      Everyone religion has divorced Women.
      This is just another article for self pity and to put Sikhs down.
      There are so many Sikh apps to meet people.
      It’s 2023 you can adopt you can use fertility treatment to have a child.
      Age is just a number.
