Sikhs can worship anywhere, so long as it contains the Guru Grath Sahib.
The message of the Bani enshrined Guru Granth Sahib, I am unable to find any place where presence of Guru Granth Sahib is required for a Sikh to say prayers. Neither can I find any reference to worship of any entity, Guru Granth Sahib, any other Granth, or person.
Only object of worship for a Sikh is the ੴ , and ੴ is present everywhere, at all times.
For a Sikh, worship of ੴ is to contemplate on the virtues of ੴ and live accordingly.
(May I always contemplate on your NAAMU, virtues. For me, that is doing your worship.)
