WHICH SIKH SHRINE IS KNOWN AS THE HOLIEST?
Sri Harmandir Sahib
According to Gurbani, presence of Guru makes a place (mind) holly.
In Sikhi it is not a physical place that is holy, it is the mind that becomes holy with the presence of Guru.
Wherever my Guru is goes and sits, that (mind) becomes holy.
In SIkhi, hollyness is not associated with a physical place or a building.
Now, the concept of degrees of holiness, I am uable it find in the Gurbani.
Either a mind is holy (Totally committed to Guru), or it is not.
I am not aware of, in Gurbani, if there is degree of holiness assigned to a mind on the way to becoming holy.
Ones own heart is the holiest or the evil shrine !
No other, including Darbar Sahib or any other building could be termed as the holier than the other holy shrines.
