The couple need to learn to respect SGGS.
There is no such direct reference in Sri Guru Granth Sahib Bani;
It is social activity. And in our current social standards it is not accepted.
There are activities which must be kept private and this is one of them. Sikhi Culture does not permit it. But as everyone knows Cultures change. No one stop changes in Culture.
From spirituality angle. Creator and the Guru are with you at all times, even in most private spaces. So, one cannot hide it from one’s Creator or the Guru. It is only society that one needs to be careful about.
This is a new adultration to the Sikh faith, and should be proactively rejected, both by the Sangat and the priest conducting the ceremony.

Akal Purkh covers the faults of His servant. This Shabad clearly guides that we have to minimise our fault, so that we get approved according to His system.
Sex is one of five sins and major one also. Hence, this needs to be contained and not exposed. Though this is allowed among the two partners, but this can not be allowed among the public. Hence, none of such are approved according to Gurmat.
