AGGS 1075
Kalyug Meh Kirtan Paradhana || Gurmukh Japiai Lae Dhiana || Aap Tarai Sagale Kul Tarae Har Darageh Pat Sio Jaeda ||6||
Gurmat don’t believe in Yugs. It is mental state. In the mental state of Kal Yug, remembering the Virtues of the God (Kirtan) are most sublime and exalted deeds. Such a person (Gurmukh) always keeps them in their conscious mind (Mann). Such a mind (Mann) liberates itself and all sense organs from the worldly temptations (Maya) and is in a blissful state forever. Kirtan with musical instruments is sung, not Japiye. Jap is to remember always continuously every moment of life. So Kirtan cannot be Japiye. No one can do Kirtan with musical instruments day and night (Every moment of life). So Kirtan means remembering Virtues of the God every moment of life. If Kirtan in this Shabd means singing with musical instruments, what about those who don’t know musical instruments. But Gurbani is true for everyone. For details watch my you tube. You can read my book Gurmat Doctrines (Part 1) for such topics and questions, available on amazon.com
