Thank you for asking this question. It is very relevant as most people are unaware.

Gurbani, the Sikhi philosophy, is totally different than VedBani, the message of the Vedas.
The difference starts with the concept of the ੴ in Sikhi and the concept of ॐ in Hinduism.
Concept of ੴ is that of oneness. And the concept of ॐ is trinity.
The difference is so vast that it is impossible to describe it few words here.

The concept of ੴ is very well explained in the Gurbani which is only 1429 pages of Gurbani Granth Sahib, and no where else.

Gurbani is the most modern solution for attaining and spreading peace on our blessed planet Earth.

Every religion says that you have to see and feel GOD in his all creations but we changes their precepts in religions and rituals and try to set them accordingly.

SGGS doesn’t condemn Vedas, rather baani says
      ਬੇਦ ਕਤੇਬ ਕਹਹੁ ਮਤ ਝੂਠੇ ਝੂਠਾ ਜੋ ਨ ਬਿਚਾਰੈ
Don’t call Vedas or Quran/bible false, those you doesn’t contemplate are false
Means SGGS agrees to Vedas as well as Quran !!!
Now question is why Guru Nanak incarnated when Vedas were already there?
      see what Bhakt Namdev says:
      ਹਿੰਦੂ ਅੰਨ੍ਹਾ ਤੁਰਕੂ ਕਾਣਾ ॥ ਦੁਹਾਂ ਤੇ ਗਿਆਨੀ ਸਿਆਣਾ ॥
Hindu is sightless and Muslim is one eyed.
      Why?
Because probably upper class (so called intellectuals) had hijacked the religion and modified it to suit their objectives. Or its the matter of time, every religion has deviated from its real teachings over time because of desires/ego of intellectuals to prove themselves spiritually superior. For example, Vedas (also SGGS) does acknowledge the existence of deities BUT both are monotheistic (GOD is one and suggest worshiping of GOD only). Similar thing happened in Abrahamic region (Israel and near by regions). You will find many Egyptian version of Deities which are quite similar to Indian version of deities. Then, In that region, Islam heavily emphasized on One God “la illaha il allah” means no one else is worship-able except Allah (Which is one, and have same qualities as Mool Mantra defines). Again, with time, Islam has been deviated by so called intellectuals of religion to some extent.
You see even Sikhs have several contradictory opinions, because intellectuals are creating new theories, but the good thing is at least the scripture (SGGS) is accessible for all and easily understandable. One can always develop their own understanding from scratch.
      Another aspect:
Vedas contain so many secrets and ways. Many of them are not suitable for kalijuga.
      ਜੁਗਿ ਜੁਗਿ ਆਪੋ ਆਪਣਾ ਧਰਮੁ ਹੈ ਸੋਧਿ ਦੇਖਹੁ ਬੇਦ ਪੁਰਾਨਾ
means: Different juga have different dharma (way of practice), you can find them in Vedas
      ਜਤੁ ਸੰਜਮ ਤੀਰਥ ਓਨਾ ਜੁਗਾ ਕਾ ਧਰਮੁ ਹੈ ਕਲਿ ਮਹਿ ਕੀਰਤਿ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮ
      Celibacy, self-discipline and pilgrimages were the essence of Dharma in those past ages;
BUT in this Dark Age of Kali Yuga, the Praise of the Lord’s Name is the essence of Dharma.
Also, Out of many methods, Vedas designated Naam as the most superior of all
      Conclusion:
Guru Nanak has realigned us with Vedas, as we ever deviated form it.
SGGS is simplified (ease of learning) and tailored to the needs of Kalyug, but it is not the opposite to Vedas.
