In a way it is true that Sachkand is a place where God resides, which is everywhere.

Is Sikhi a religion?
Very good question. . Near English translation of Dharam is religion but is a misnomer. Before creation of this universe for endless time, there was only utter darkness. There was no earth or sky; there was only the infinite Command of God’s Hukam. There was no day or night, no moon or sun; Only God sat in primal deep trance. That is the answer to Hawking’s question in his book, “What did God do before He created the universe (Hawking: p.9)?
Big Bang Theory of Guru Nanak
Guru Nanak says, from utter darkness and void where God was in primal trance, created a sound. The universe exploded from that one source of energy with a bang and started to expand. Thereafter many things appeared.
ਕੀਤਾ ਪਸਾਉ ਏਕੋ ਕਵਾਉ ॥ ਤਿਸ ਤੇ ਹੋਏ ਲਖ ਦਰੀਆਉ ॥ AGGS 3

Guru Nanak explains that from the Big Bang, God created this universe including the galaxy where we live. With that came sun, moon, earth, air, water, day, night (time), days, and seasons. Georges Lemaître a Belgian Roman Catholic priest, mathematician, astronomer, and professor of Physics at the Catholic University of Louvain, first suggested the Big Bang theory in the 1920s, when he theorized that the universe began from a single primordial atom while Guru Nanak theorized it five centuries ago that it came into being from ਸੁੰਨਹੁ ਸੁੰਨੁ ਉਪਾਇਦਾ (Sunnahu Sunn Opaeida).

Amrit, (Virtues of the God) is such a spiritual food which should be eaten all the time. One should always be attuned to this spiritual wisdom. With that, one will be able to cope with all problems and pains of life happily and have a Blissful State.
There is no specific time to get spiritual knowledge and wisdom from the Guru. Though, early hours of morning are considered to be best time of the day, but it is not possible for those who do shift duties. If Amrit Vela is only early hours then people doing shift duties will never get salvation. God can’t punish people for working which is essential part of life. For people doing shift duty early hours is when they wake up from sleep. Upon arising, they should bathe to clean the body, and then cleanse the mind (Mann) in the pool of nectar of Guru’s teachings (Read, listen them). Otherwise spiritual wisdom can be obtained from Gurbani and from discussions any time of the day, at any place and through any means. The time (Vela) when spiritual wisdom about Virtues of the God (Amrit) is obtained is Amrit Vela. Once we have adopted and assimilated the spiritual knowledge, wisdom and Virtues of the God then they should be in our mind (Mann) every breath and every moment of our life.
