The Sikhs call anyone a siant (SANT) they feel like.
However, As pwer Gurbani saint (SANT) is equvalent to RAM (that is present in each),
(there is no difference betweem RAM and SANT, there may be one SANT among millions)
Please note, there are no individuals with prefix of SANT during the Guru Period. Highest and most respected designation during Guru periods were GURU, BHAGAT, BHAI, or BABA. It is only in the begining of twentieth century that Sikhs started to see SANT among them, perhaps introduced under British Givernment plan.

Gurbani words like Sant, Saadh, Braham Giyani etc are neither used for any person nor for any of the mythical icon.
These titles have been used for an entity that can guide us to attain redemption and transform one into a Sachiara, and that entity is The Word and Gurbani contained in the GGS.
