Shabad “Vin bolya sab kich janda” means that God knows all our desires so why do we pray or make ardaas in front of God to fulfil our desires?

Mandeepji great question. It require lot of preparation to answer such question. I will try brief answer here. Remember BABA NANAK said SHABAD GURU SURAT DHUN CHELA ( SGGS PAGE 942) meaning my GURU , GOD is SHABAD, BANI, DIVINE WISDOM and this GURU resides in my SURAT, CONSCIOUSNESS. Every event that happens with us happen within and consciously we face consequences of our actions here and now. The godly scale of justice is within. GURU says MANNSA KIAHO DEEWANNOO KOEE NAS BHAJ NIKLAI HAR DIWANNOO KOEE KITHAI JAYA ( SGGS PAGE 5910 meaning one can escape justice in the human court but how can one escape justice in the court of GOD, THE GURU WITHIN, OUR ATMA, GODLY CONSCIOUNESS. We in fact face consequences of our actions here and now. ARDAS therefore is dialogue with yourself, GOD, GURU I had enough of this miserable life, give me wisdom to rise above this misery.
Thank you
The purpose of bowing before the Guru Granth Sahib is for the commitment to study, understand and live according to the teachings of Gurbani. Ardas is carried out so that one can lower his ego and prepare himself to listen to the teachings of Guru Granth Sahib. We should beg and learn the way of living by understanding and following Gurbani.
Ardas performed through agents is not acceptable. We have to perform our own Ardas.
Thank you
