Please someone reply from gurbani point of view?
Recently i have been involved in a discussion involving the namdhari community. My understanding is they are not aligned to Sikhi as they have their own set guidelines/maryada. The biggest point here is the namdhari community believe in a living guru? For sikhs its the sri guru granth sahib but for them thats not the case and they hand the guruship to a human.
Their marriage ceremonies also differ from anand karaj such as going around the fire? How can they say they are sikhs?
They keep going on about the great things they do and how they follow guru nanak dev jis teachings. And how we mainstream sikhs exclude them. But study them closely …. There are a lot of things they do which are not inline with sikhi?
like to have an input from the experts (in english please).
