As per teachings of Guru Granth Sahib, Akalpurakh is our father, mother and every relation. He is always kind. He may rebuke His children for mistakes but still embrace them like a worldly father. Don’t worry so much. It is not a sin, if you are unable to pray, sometimes, for certain reasons. We pray to achieve spiritual bliss i.e. for our own benefit. So, without worrying so much, please carry a feeling that He is sitting inside you as soul (Atma) and He loves you. He wants us also to love all. No hatred for anyone.
thx a lot brother
There is no concept of punishment by God in Sikhism. Everything happens according to Hukam ( Divine Will) and there is a lesson or experience hidden for us even in adverse situations.
I just want to point out, even in Islam it might not be considered a sin depending on the circumstances. One of Mohammad’s companions accidentally slept through the morning prayer and Mohammad explained that God forgave him because it wasn’t intentional. I don’t know what circumstances exactly though would count and only God knows that.
