This holy Shabad is uttered by Bhagat Kabir Ji and is on page 478. Ramaiyaa means Akal Purakh. There is a request in this Shabad O Parmaatma!, I am your child.
It means that please give me the gift of good qualities so that I can live a life of good virtues and be in a state of steadfast spirituality. Bless my faults.

        RAMEEYA HAU BARIK TERA.
When this SHABAD by KABIRJI is translated literally and distorted view of GURBANI is presented it conveys completely wrong message of GURBANI. Every SIKH should be very aware that vast majority of what SIKHI is preached in SIKH INSTITUTIONS, GURDWARAS, DERAS is against the basic principles of spiritual philosophy of BABA NANAK. Only such awareness will lead to demand from SIKH SANGAT for change.
Here are the messages we get from literal translation of this SHABAD.
1 KABIRJI is saying it does not matter how badly son behaves, shows anger (violence, drinking, drugs and many more), it is ok for mother to ignore all this. This takes us away from the focus of need for change.
2 KABIRJI says I pray to GOD, I am your child, why do you not destroy all my sins and bless my body. This is one-way communication with the commonly held belief of GOD as OPPERWALA. GOD give me this, give me that rather than praying for divine wisdom, spiritual awakening.
3 KABIRJI says O GOD, you are my only savior. Again, focus is on OPPERWALA.
When I reviewed the two previous SHABADS by KABIRJI, theme of this SHABAD became clear. In first person KABIRJI is talking about his state of mind, but the message is for all of us. KABIRJI is saying I realize I am ignorant, egoistic, slave of my mind and indulged in all kinds of bad behavior. Becoming aware and realization that I am sick will lead you to the doctor, THE GURU. Are we willing to say enough of this egoistic, miserable life? Then KABIRJI says I unconditionally surrender to my GURU and pray for DIVINE WISDOM, SPIRIT OF ENLIGHTENMENT.
Let us now discuss this SHABAD beginning with central idea RAHAO.
RAMEEYA HUA BARIK TERA. KAHE NA KHANDAS AWGUN MERA (SGGS PAGE 478).
What is RAMEEYA. According to SIKHI SIDHANT it is not some external GOD of supernatural powers that fulfil all your desires. RAMEEYA is SHABAD GURU, BANI GURU, DIVINE WISDOM, SPIRIT OF ENLIGHTENMENT within all of us. KABIR says SATGURU I am your disciple, ignorant child with all the shortcomings and I unconditionally surrender to your HUKAM, WILL, I beg you for divine wisdom, knowledge for spiritual awakening and become SACHIARA. I pray for GURPARSAAD. KABIRJI does not have long list of material things he’s asking from GOD. Rest of the verses must be interpreted keeping in mind doctrine of central idea.
        VERSE ONE.
        SUT APRADH KARAT HAI JETE.
KABIRJI is saying GURU I am ignorant, egoistic, indulged in all kinds of bad behavior. I am slave of my own identity. I have lots of shortcomings and I realize this.
        JANANEE CHEET NA RAKHAS TETE.
KABIRJI is using metaphor of mother son relationship. KABIRJI is saying as child goes to mother for forgiveness and advice, GURU I come to you for divine wisdom, spiritual awakening, to become SACHIARA.
JE ATT KROP KAREY KAR DHAEEA.
KABIRJI is saying I am ignorant angry child, repeatedly showing bad behavior. I am sick and need spiritual medicine.
TAA BHEE CHEET NA RAKHAS MAYA.
KABIRJI is saying as the mother does not judge a child, SATGURU you do not find faults in your disciples, you are the most merciful. I am sinner but you do not judge me.
        CHINT BHAWAN MANN PARIO HAMARA.
SATGURU because of my separation from truth, my ignorance, attachment to my mind I am suffering in pain, stress, worries and anxiety.
        NAAM BINA KAISEY UTRAS PARA.
KABIRJI says GURU you are my only source of wisdom, spiritual awakening, and enlightenment. I completely surrender to your HUKAM.
        DEH BIMAL MATT SADA SAREERA.
KABIRJI says I contemplate and meditate on divine wisdom for spiritual awakening.
        SEHAJ SEHAJ GUNN RAWEY KABIRA.
KABIRJI says now I have realized spiritual enlightenment and I am in bliss.
In summary the key message in this SHABAD is to recognize and realize that I have had enough of this egoistic, self- centered miserable life. I unconditionally surrender to HUKAM, WILL for spiritual awakening.
It is an internal surrender, because Divine Wisdom resides within. It is not a dialogue with a separate, external GOD for that GOD to impart enlightenment. It is a recognition that there is only GOD, so the only thing for one to do is surrender internally, to let go the separate Me and live in recognition of NAAM. KABIRJI begs for NAAM out of devotion and humility, while recognizing that surrender is the path to realizing Divine Wisdom within. KABIRJI recognizes that NAAM, Divine Wisdom is the only source for spiritual awakening and the only way to bliss.
