Many birds including a Bambiha are mentioned in Guru Granth Sahib Ji.
Why is reference of certain birds given in our holy scriptures?

Babeeha is a thirsty rainbird wants rain to quench its thirst. This word has been used in many Shbads in Gurbani as a metaphor for our mind, wishing to meet the Creator within by realizing the virtues of the 1ਓ. With the virtues come the showers of grace (happiness, peace and bliss)

Other day my 7 year old asked me relevance of big wings of an airplane.. I had to refer to Seagull/Eagles and show him how these birds glide in the sky due to bigger wing span and smaller birds can’t..
Gurbani is directional and references from what used to happen around people (in nature) to give examples and guidance..
though I feel sorry and guilt – that next generation won’t see some of these birds and won’t be able to relate the gurbani due to climate issues..
Think as a Sikh we need to be more climate aware (mother nature) – My personal advise to self..
