While complete Gurbani contained in 1429 pages of the Gurbani Granth Sahib relieves stress, we have ample examples of many martyrs reciting Japu Bani or Japuji Sahib at the final moments of their martyrdom, probably to regain their posture during those trying moments.
We could also recite ੴ ਏਕੰਕਾਰੁ ਤੇਰਾ ਸ਼ੁਕਰ ਹੈ।
Every challenge in our life is a boon for us to face it squarely and evolve into an improved human being.
।।ਕੇਤੀਆ ਦੂਖ ਭੂਖ ਸਦ ਮਾਰ।।
।।ਏਹ ਭੀ ਦਾਤਿ ਤੇਰੀ ਦਾਤਾਰ।।

Stress cannot be relieved by listening or reading a Shabd. Whole Gurbani is directed at mind (Mann). By controlling our mind (Mann) we can live a stress free life.
