As a newcomer to Sikhi, I would like to inquire if there is a specific prayer to recite when standing and bowing in front of the Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji at the gurudwara.

Respected Brother/Sister,
Waheguru ji ka Khalsa, Waheguru ji ki Fateh!
In response to your question, the undersigned just wants to say that Guru Granth Sahib has not subscribed, to bowing, to pray to Akalpurakh. Please be kind to read the following two Pangtis of a Shabad of Bhagat Kabir ji and their meanings:-
We, the Sikhs, bow before Guru Granth Sahib to convey that Guru Sahib we have no wisdom. Hey Akalpurakh and Shabad Guru (Both are spiritually embodiment of each other) please take away our Manmat (ਮਨਮਤ) and give us Gurmat (ਗੁਰਮਤ) and transform our lives so that instead of becoming Manmukhs (ਮਨਮੁਖ), we become Gurmukhs (ਗੁਰਮੁਖ).
Hope it helps. If you have any further questions, please do ask. If you find any deficiencies, please point out the same, for improvement in future.
Regards,
Your Brother
You only ask for spiritual wisdom to lead a purposeful life
Very good question. A sikh asks from the Guru:
AGGS 534
Raj N Chaho Mukat N Chaho Mann Preet Charan Kamalare ||
I do not seek power, and I do not seek liberation. What I seek is that my mind (Mann) be in love with Your Virtues.
AGGS 958
Vin Tudh Hor J Mangana Sir Dukha Kai Dukh || Deh Naam Santokhia Otarai Mann Ki Bhukh ||
To ask for any other than You God is the most miserable of miseries. Please bless me with Your Virtues (Naam), and make me contented so that the hunger of my mind (Mann) for worldly desires is satisfied.
