For Sikhs Gurduara OR originally known as DHARAMSAAL is a place of learning.
ਗੁਰੂ ਦੁਆਰੈ ਹੋਇ ਸੋਝੀ ਪਾਇਸੀ ॥(ਮ:੧, ਪੰ;੭੩੦)
(One develop understanding, gets to know, at the Gurduara)
A Sikh can worship anywhere and at anytime, location is unimportant.
Second part of the question is not relly pertinent as per Gurbani as palces are eqialy good. No one place is any holoier than other.
(Whereever my Guru goes, that palce become blissfull)

Yes,
and Sikh Temple is a most inappropriate English term for Gurudwara.
Sikh School may be more suitable.
Temple is a place of worship.
As per SGGS, temple is inside us
Mann mandar, tan vesh kalandar…..
None of the above.
And NONE whatsoever !!
No Sikh Temple is better than the rest of the shrines or places of “worshipping”

Gurdwara is a place where we get spiritual knowledge and wisdom. Like our child who goes to school but does not get any knowledge from the teacher and fails in the exam, our going to Gurdwara is meaningless if we don’t get spiritual knowledge and wisdom to deal with our problems. We can get spiritual knowledge and wisdom by discussing Bani through social media, web, zoom discussions, TV, at home or in a park. All these become Gurdwara, the gateway to Guru. That does not mean we don’t need Gurdwara building. It is a center where most of us gather regularly. We should go there for a meaningful purpose.
