As a teenager, the average man seeks happiness by accumulating wealth. As an adult, he seeks happiness by finding a life partner. However, even when he has achieved both in old age, he still may not find true happiness. What could be the reason for this?

Respected Brother/Sister,
Waheguru ji ka Khalsa, Waheguru ji ki Fateh!
In response to your question, the undersigned wants to quote one Tuk from Guru Granth Sahib
in which Guru Sahib is teaching us that all its life, the human mind, by indulging in material world continues to seek happiness, which it doesn’t get because the true happiness it can get only by becoming one with Akalpurakh and Guru, who are embodiment of each other.
So, at any stage of life, the true happiness is not in the material world and for that reason by getting attached with material world, in various forms, the human beings remain unhappy throughout life.
Hope this helps. If you have any further questions, please do ask. If you find any deficiencies, please point out the same, for improvement in future.
Regards,
Your Brother

Thank you a million times.
The happiness associated with materialistic things is short lived. Real happiness comes from inside with the fulfillment of the real purpose of life. Read my poem.
Wavering Happiness
——————————————-
Happiness, the most coveted entity.
Happiness, a delightful feeling.
Secretion of some chemicals in the body.
A plethora of ways to achieve it.
Riches, intellect, altruistic deeds and accomplishments.
Every happiness is ephemeral.
It is short lived.
It changes.
It is temporary but not permanent.
Ecstasy, a state of euphoria, is also short lived.
We live in the constant fear of losing happiness.
Looking for a state of permanent bliss.
An eternal peace.
An eternal happiness.
Looking for utopia.
The quest to permanent bliss,
is it our state of mind or
we have to enter into some other world.
Is it some knowledge or enlightenment.
This enigma needs to be resolved.
Thank you a million times.
