      Respected Bani Kaur ji,
Waheguru ji ka Khalsa, Waheguru ji ki Fateh!

Guru Sahib had, by giving examples of Karam Kands being done by Hindus, had advised Sikhs not to indulge in the same as this was leading to false pride/arrogance. Rather, the Pandit was advised to do Naam Simran. It now appears that the Sikhs have become bigger Pandits and started indulging in bigger Karamkands.

The main reason of Sikhs sitting on the floor and Guru Granth Sahib being at a higher level in Gurdwara Sahib, was to show respect for Guru Sahib. While putting chairs in Gurdwara Sahib, adequate care is taken to ensure that Guru Granth Sahib is at a higher level and chairs for those, who can’t sit on the floor, at a lower level, the same decorum/respect is maintained. Therefore, this is a non-issue but has been made a big issue for no reason whatsoever. This is sign of ignorance and nothing else.

Hope this helps. If you have any further questions, please do ask. If you observe any deficiencies please let me know so that improvement can be done in future.
      Regards,
      Your Brother
