The Khanda is a symbol of divine justice. It is the military emblem of the Sikh nation.
In the centre there is a Chakra (circle) this represents the oneness of the eternal God, who is without beginning or end.
In the middle there is a Khanda (sword) this represents the destruction of evil.
The two swords on each side of the Chakra are Kirpana, one represents Miri (political authority) whereas the other represents Piri (spiritual authority) signifying the divine right of the Khalsa to rule.
