Why do we have to do Ardas? (At the end of the function). Why do we stand up when doing Ardas?

I always wanted to ask this questions, but didn’t find any platform. I applaud the person who created this platform and I believe through this platform the younger generation will learn more.

      Respected Daman Preet Kaur Ji;
      Thank you for your compliments.
      Gurbani has a reference to doing Ardaas before embarking on a project/task.

      ਕੀਤਾ ਲੋੜੀਐ ਕੰਮੁ ਸੁ ਹਰਿ ਪਹਿ ਆਖੀਐ ॥ ਕਾਰਜੁ ਦੇਇ ਸਵਾਰਿ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਸਚੁ ਸਾਖੀਐ ॥ (ਮ:੧, ਪੰ:੯੧)
      As we wish to start on a project/task/activity., request the Creator for the successful completion of the project Task.
      At the end of the task, then it becomes automatic to thank the Creator for the successful Creation of the Project/task/activity.
      One must always keep in mind a part of the Creator is within each one of us. Therefore, when one makes a request the Creator, actually it also is a self-motivation.
      The concluding Ardaas is also a feeling of accomplishment for oneself.
