Thank you for asking this question, This and some others like SIKHI KESAAN SWASAAN NAAL NIBHAYEE, must come to those minds who are unfamiliar with Sikhi history.
All the references are to actual incidents in Sikh History, Sikh were mercilessly tortured to death simply for holding onto their principles.
“charkhdiyan te chade” refers to those Sikhs who were tortured to death by putting them on a device called CHARKHRI.
