      Waheguru ji ka Khalsa, Waheguru ji ki Fateh!
      It seems you are talking about some Sikhs who wear white cloth on their nose and mouth while doing Paath of Guru Granth Sahib? If this is correct, then the aim is to ensure that while doing Paath the spit droplets do not fall on the pages of Guru Granth Sahib.
