There is no mention of any categories of Sikhs in Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji. Only the GURMUKHS and MANMUKHS, The MANMUKHS are not considered Sikhs.
As best I can tell all these branches springing up are based on lack of knowledge of Gurbani. As per Gurbani most important is to live in accordance with the HUKAM / NAAMU. This will lead to a peace of mind, contentment, and eternal joy in life.
Different individuals seem to interpret the Gurbani message differently and divide themselves into smaller groups. It is not important to know the differences between them. Just focus on the message of the Bani enshrined in Sri Guru Granth Sahib and live your life accordingly.
