I noticed that in the pahar system a 24 hour day would start at sunrise, however, the Mool Nanakshahi calendar seems to start the day at 12:00 am. I would like clarification of this matter please.

Calendar date changes at 12 only
I noticed that the Guru Granth Sahib says “… days… happen only because of the sun” which may indicate that we should count the change of day either at sunset, like in the Semitic tradition, or at sunrise, like in the Hindu tradition. Counting the days as starting at 12:00 is not natural, but requires of human inventions: clocks.
