Hi Mathew;
Thank you so much for your interest in knowing about Sikh Gurduara and asking this question.
First of all, my apology that it took me this long to notice your question.
To answer your question, please allow me to start by saying first experience one has is that of peace of mind.
Gurduara is a place of learning and practice the message of the eternal Sikh Guru, known as Sri Guru Granth Sahib, the Sikh scripture.
It is a place where one goes to learn the message of the Guru. Mostly the message of Guru is shared by singing it softly in a very pleasant voice.
Second part is practice of the Guru’s message: Service to the Community (medical, educational, food, etc.), equal treatment of all, regardless of gender, race, color, creed, national origin, or any other manmade distinctions.
There is much more to say but words cannot express the feeling one gets by visiting a Gurduara.
Please experience it for yourself by visiting a Gurduara, if you have one nearby.
