There is no reference to HAZZORIA in Sri Guru Granth Sahib.
As a part of the dress, specially while attending to Sri Guru Granth Sahib, HAZOORIA is to keep once hands clean, also to cover the mouth in case of sneezing or coughing etc. any such need so as to not touch Guru Granth Sahib with unclean hands.
thank you
Another Aspect:
Hazooria instills in Daasa Bhav (considering oneself as a servant), humility. By doing so, you put yourself in the position of servant.
Try it yourself!
Servants always carry it on their shoulders (at present time also, you will find many such servants), while requesting something from their master, they hold it with both hands in prayer position.
