A SIKH IS A SIKH who live teachings of SGGSJI. Rest is all created by ignorant people who beleive in caste system.
A Sikh is supposed to follow Guru Granth Sahib. Use of any caste is against the teachings of Guru Granth Sahib.
Any such person who believes in caste system can not claim to be a Sikh.
ਜਾਤਿ ਕਾ ਗਰਬੁ ਨ ਕਰਿ ਮੂਰਖ ਗਵਾਰਾ ॥
ਇਸੁ ਗਰਬ ਤੇ ਚਲਹਿ ਬਹੁਤੁ ਵਿਕਾਰਾ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ – 1128
Better said than done. The dharam tells us that all are equal but in practice it is not so! I have experienced the differentiation during matrimonial alliance calls with potential alliance family denying proposal stating “we are jatt but you are arora, so can’t proceed further”. We boast equality but do not practice!
Gurbani teaches equality of the entire human race. It doesn’t believe in any any caste or caste based discrimination, divisions or inequqlities. Ramgarhias, Jaats, Aroras, Khatries and others are all Sikhs, just need to understand the Gurus message and put into practice in lives
