In order to understand meaning of these words we must pay attention to GURBANI GRAMMER.
GURMUKH WITH SIHAREE means mouth of the GURU. It mean the DIVINE WISDOM, SPIRIT OF ENLIGHTENMENT , SHABAD that comes from the GURU. DIVINE WISDOM that connects us to GOD. GURMUKH NADANG GURMUKH VEDANG. GURMUK without SIHAREE is noun, spiritually awakened. MANMUKH is noun, opposite of GURMUKH, ignorant of DIVINE WISDOM, EGOISTIC, self- centered. GURMUKH, and GURSIKH I think are same.
Thank you so much
There are so many qualities of Gurmukh which have been described in Guru Granth Sahib.
ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਸਬਦੁ ਪਛਾਣੀਐ ਹਰਿ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਨਾਮਿ ਸਮਾਇ ॥ ਗੁਰ ਗਿਆਨੁ ਪ੍ਰਚੰਡੁ ਬਲਾਇਆ ਅਗਿਆਨੁ ਅੰਧੇਰਾ ਜਾਇ ॥੨॥ – 29
A Gurmukh reveals within himself the qualities and vastness of Akal Purkh with the help of Gurbani written in Guru Granth Sahib (Shabad).
He always enjoys the Amrit of Naam and remains in tune with the teachings of Gurbani.
He is able to enlighten himself by attaining knowledge with the help of Gurbani and is able to eliminate the darkness of ignorance from his mind.
According to Gurbani there is not much difference between Sikh and GurSikh.
Thank you so much
