It is a very good habit to tie a beard, to keep oneself groomed. There is no prohibition on this. Veer ji, whether you use simco or gel it is your own choice.
I agree with above answer. Sometimes people, out of the curiosity or jealously, say, “Munn Layii or Tunn Layii’ means cutting beard or tying is same. It is not same because we tie our hair on our head. Sikh ladies make a braid or tie on their head too. Is that same as cutting? No, so this is a personal choice. Thanks
