SIkh KHANDA is not part of Gurbani.
It is meant to represent Sikhi soverinity.
This symbol appears to be designed during 1920 and under the influence of British Government.
it effectively replaces the SIkhi Nishan ੴ , given by Guru Nanak Sahib.

This symbol appears to be designed during 1920s and under the influence of British Government so they could use Sikhs to fight for the British.
it effectively replaced the SIkhi Nishan ੴ , given by Guru Nanak Sahib.
