There is no provision for divorce in Gurbani of Guru Granth Sahib. In view of the position, the people have to go to courts.
This is good question in the context of breaking relationships and high percentage of divorces. Divorce happens when one become ego centric, self centered and do not see partner as reflection of GOD. In other words couple who are spiritually awakened, compassionate, kind, loving never divorce. So there is no place of divorce in the house of NANAK.
