What does Sikh religion teach us about putting up with wrong or injustice.
According to Gurbani, Sikhi does not teach passive acceptance of wrongdoing or injustice, nor does it endorse revenge or hatred. It calls for fearless resistance grounded in discernment, compassion, and moral clarity.
A Sikh is expected to stand against oppression, protect the vulnerable, and speak truth to power, while refusing to become unjust in the process. Forgiveness in Sikhi preserves inner freedom without excusing wrongdoing, and acceptance applies to reality, not to cruelty. Justice, in Gurmat, is resistance without ego and courage without hatred.
