The SGPC has control over the Gurdwaras in Punjab. Hence, we can not say about any official body of Sikhs as far as whole world is concerned.
Most appropriate calendar is that, which is according to the Solar system and dates are same every year.
Hence, most appropriate calendar is only, the Nanak Shahi calendar prepared by Dr. Pal Singh.
