Harry Ji Sikhism is a lifetime journey of studentship to be a truthful human being. The core belief system is in the Shabd
AGGS 379
Kam Krodh Maya Madh Matasar Ea Khelat Sabh Juai Hare || Sat Santokh Daya Dharam Sach Eh Apunai Grih Bhitar Vare ||1||
Person who takes spiritual knowledge and wisdom from the Guru loses ardent sexual desire, anger, intoxication with worldly passion (Maya), ego and jealousy as stake in the game of chance and usher in mind (Mann) voluntary service (Sat), contentment (Santokh), compassion (Daya), righteousness (Dharam) and truthfulness (Sach).
Our every single mundane activity should be an act of Seva, like giving seat to needy in the bus, helping someone cross the road, helping co-worker, coming home from work and helping wife in cooking and cleaning etc. That way one can be ambassador for Waheguru, an agent of truth and love.
I agree with the answer above;
To add my two bits:
SIkhi is way of life not a onetime event or a part time practice.
SIkhi is a life of a SACHIAR (truthful) person that understands the Nammu (presence of the Creator in entire Universe and the functioning of the Creation) and lives in accordance with the Hukam (order) of the Creator.
Sikhi does not believe in rituals or fake behavior/activities intended to please a deity or some such entity.
