Very good question. Sikhi is a philosophy how to live Truthful life.
AGGS 465
Sikhi Sikhia Gur Vichar ||
Sikh gets spiritual knowledge and wisdom by contemplating on the teachings of the Guru (Bani).
By doing Vichar we should do:
AGGS 379
Kam Krodh Maya Madh Matasar Ea Khelat Sabh Juai Hare || Sat Santokh Daya Dharam Sach Eh Apunai Grih Bhitar Vare ||1||
Person who takes spiritual knowledge and wisdom from the Guru loses ardent sexual desire, anger, intoxication with worldly passion (Maya), ego and jealousy as stake in the game of chance and usher in mind (Mann) Voluntary service Seva (Sat), contentment (Santokh), compassion (Daya), righteousness (Dharam) and truthfulness (Sach).
There is no place of punishment in Sikhi, BUT forgiveness when we have life of Sat, Santokh, Daya, Dharam and Sach.
