Suggestion please.

I want god to take me back, i don’t want to continue living anymore. How can i convey this to god?

      Respected Brother/Sister,
      Waheguru ji ka Khalsa, Waheguru ji ki Fateh!

      In response to your question, the undersigned is just quoting two Pangtis from Guru Granth Sahib, in which Guru Sahib is guiding us that you have got valuable life, with His blessings, and you should keep an optimistic attitude towards life and make it a success, with the help of Sadh Sangat. Please change your life style and utilise this valuable life, which you got in His Hukam, to serve the humanity (especially poor and needy), instead of wasting it away.

      The undersigned will further suggest that you please read the history of tenth Guru Person Guru Gobind Singh Sahib, Sahibzadas, Baba Banda Singh Bahadur and other Sikh martyrs to see as to how they fought adversities and laid down their lives but didn’t compromise on principles and made their lives a success.

      ਵਡੈ ਭਾਗਿ ਰਤਨ ਜਨਮੁ ਪਾਇਆ ਕਰਹੁ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾ ਕਿਰਪਾਲਾ ॥ ਸਾਧਸੰਗਿ ਨਾਨਕੁ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਵੈ ਸਿਮਰੈ ਸਦਾ ਗਪਾਲਾ ॥੪॥੧੦॥ {ਪੰਨਾ 611}
      ਅਰਥ: ਹੇ ਗੋਪਾਲ! ਹੇ ਕਿਰਪਾਲ! ਵੱਡੀ ਕਿਸਮਤ ਨਾਲ ਇਹ ਸ੍ਰੇਸ਼ਟ ਮਨੁੱਖਾ ਜਨਮ ਲੱਭਾ ਹੈ (ਹੁਣ) ਮੇਹਰ ਕਰ, (ਤੇਰਾ ਸੇਵਕ) ਨਾਨਕ ਸਾਧ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਵਿਚ ਰਹਿ ਕੇ ਤੇਰੇ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਂਦਾ ਰਹੇ, ਤੇਰਾ ਨਾਮ ਸਦਾ ਸਿਮਰਦਾ ਰਹੇ।੪।੧੦।

        ਸਤਿਕਾਰ ਯੋਗ ਵੀਰ ਜੀ/ਭੈਣ ਜੀ,

        ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਜੀ ਕਾ ਖ਼ਾਲਸਾ, ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਜੀ ਕੀ ਫ਼ਤਹਿ।।

        ਦਾਸ ਅੱਗੇ ਇਹ ਕਹਿਣਾ ਚਾਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਤੁਹਾਡੀ ਉਦਾਸੀ/ਪ੍ਰੇਸ਼ਾਨੀ ਵਿਚੋਂ ਕੱਢਣ ਲਈ ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਤੇ ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਅਰਦਾਸ ਹੀ ਮਦਦਗਾਰ ਹੋ ਸਕਦੀ ਹੈ ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਗੁਰੂ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਸਮਝਾਉਂਦੇ ਹਨ:-

        ਪਉੜੀ ॥ ਜੀਅ ਕੀ ਬਿਰਥਾ ਹੋਇ ਸੁ ਗੁਰ ਪਹਿ ਅਰਦਾਸਿ ਕਰਿ ॥ ਛੋਡਿ ਸਿਆਣਪ ਸਗਲ ਮਨੁ ਤਨੁ ਅਰਪਿ ਧਰਿ ॥ (ਪੰਨਾ 519)

        ਅਰਥ: (ਹੇ ਭਾਈ!) ਦਿਲ ਦਾ ਜੋ ਦੁੱਖ ਹੋਵੇ ਉਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਅਗੇ ਬੇਨਤੀ ਕਰ, ਆਪਣੀ ਸਾਰੀ ਚਤੁਰਾਈ ਛੱਡ ਦੇਹ ਤੇ ਮਨ ਤਨ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਹਵਾਲੇ ਕਰ ਦੇਹ।

        ਅਰਦਾਸ ਲਫ਼ਜ਼ ਗੁਰੂ ਗ੍ਰੰਥ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਵਿਚ ਬਹੁਤ ਵਾਰੀ ਆਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਅਰਦਾਸ, ਫ਼ਾਰਸੀ ਦੇ ਲਫ਼ਜ਼ ਅਰਜ਼ਦਾਸ਼ਤ, ਅਰਜ਼ + ਦਾਸ਼ਤ ਤੋਂ ਬਣਿਆ ਇੱਕ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਹੈ। ਅਰਜ਼ ਦਾ ਅਰਥ ਹੈ ਬੇਨਤੀ। ਦਾਸ਼ਤ ਦਾ ਅਰਥ ਹੈ ਪੇਸ਼ ਕਰਨਾ। ਅਰਦਾਸ ਜੀਵ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਅੱਗੇ ਕੀਤੀ ਗਈ ਬੇਨਤੀ ਹੈ।

        ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਸਾਡਾ ਮਾਤਾ/ਪਿਤਾ ਸਭ ਕੁੱਝ ਹੈ ਇਸ ਲਈ ਦੁੱਖ ਹੋਵੇ ਜਾਂ ਸੁੱਖ, ਖੁਸ਼ੀ ਹੋਵੇ ਜਾਂ ਗਮੀ, ਗੁਰੂ ਦਾ ਸਿੱਖ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਬਖਸ਼ਿਸ਼ ਲੈਣ ਲਈ ਅਰਦਾਸ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਤੁਹਾਡਾ ਅੱਗੇ ਕੋਈ ਸਵਾਲ ਹੋਵੇ ਤਾਂ ਤੁਹਾਡਾ ਸਵਾਗਤ ਹੈ।
